  Allen, we stand by our work and want readers to have the facts: Scope: Our contract covered the roof and the exterior vent termination only. We did not alter your furnace, vent routing/sizing, gas train, controls, or any interior HVAC components. Vent cap: We replaced a rusted/damaged flue cap and properly flashed the boot—standard, code‑appropriate work at the roofline. Clearing debris at the cap was a courtesy, not an admission of improper venting. Leak: You reported a minor leak at one vent after install; we repaired it under warranty. No continuing roof leaks have been reported to us. Furnace claim: Two licensed HVAC companies—one you hired and one we scheduled—recommended replacement due to age/condition. Neither documented a code or manufacturer violation caused by our roofing work. Timeline inconsistency: You previously stated the furnace was shut off in April and issues appeared when restarted in September. That conflicts with the new claim that problems began “a week after completion” and does not establish that roofing work caused a furnace failure. Pricing allegation: Your HVAC replacement (about $4,059.66 per your own statement) was contracted with a third‑party HVAC vendor, not CS Roofing, and is outside the roofing agreement. We did not bill you for furnace work or add HVAC costs to your roofing contract. Documentation: We have photos and work orders showing a correct roof‑side termination. If any licensed HVAC contractor provides a written report identifying a specific roof‑caused defect at the termination, we will correct it and discuss reasonable, evidence‑based reimbursement.   DO NOT HIRE THEM. We hired them to fix some damage on our roof and fascia from a bad storm because of all of the good reviews online. When the workers came the first time, they asked my husband what they were supposed to do on our house. He told them even though they should have already known. We had an appointment so we left while they started working. We came home to find that they only partially did what my husband had explained. We contacted the company, they sent an inspector a week or two later to see what still needed to be done. The same crew of workers came again and once AGAIN asked my husband what they were supposed to work on. We had an appointment once again, left them to work, came back, and they had not not done all of what they were supposed to AGAIN. We contacted the project manager, didn't get a response for weeks, they sent the inspector again and he just did the rest of the work. This entire time they were hassling us about paying the invoice for the incomplete work from the first time they came out. We paid it about a week after the inspector completed the work and then received a letter in the mail that they were going to report the unpaid balance to the credit bureaus even though the work had JUST been completed. Obviously we didn't want to pay until the work was actually done. We will NEVER work with them again and would not recommend them to our worst enemy.

Only then did our system issue a standard credit bureau notice—something that applies equally to every customer. Once that was received, the bill was paid. Flat roof restoration and coating system completed. We performed targeted repairs around multiple roof penetrations and drains, including installing new rolled roofing at all four drain locations. The area where a chimney was previously located was rebuilt with new plywood and sealed with rolled roofing for a watertight finish. We also reflashed scuppers, vertical seams, and chimney areas to eliminate potential leak points. The roof surface was cleaned and prepared before applying a full coating system, including Henry Pro Grade base coat and a final Roof Coat layer for long-term protection.
