We originally scheduled an appointment for an estimate on multiple leak repairs back in December of 2021 for our 22,000 sq. ft building but when I called to reschedule the inspection for an estimate I spoke with a man who told me that someone had already gone out for the inspection but we were not open. I mentioned to the man over the phone perhaps the gentleman went to the wrong facility because no one had shown up. He then tells me ill-mannered that if I wanted to get an estimate I would have to google my own square footage and tell him how much it was because he wasn't going to return to my facility for an estimate. (we are only 19 miles from his business) Supposedly a man waited outside of our building for 4 hours waiting for us to open…kind of unbelievable someone would waste that much time... The man I spoke with was very rude so I told him I wasn't going to do the work for him to get a potential customer a simple quote... Keep in mind we have several leaks(8-10) in our roof and it was not going to be a small job. Very unprofessional and doesn't like to put in effort for potential customers... * Kindly address your customers next time and google search things yourself if you don't want to waste your company's drive time on sending another tech out.

They need to update their opening hours because of the pandemic, because I've come two or three times and it's not open, even though the website says it is.

We reached out to Competition after we noticed our roof leaking after the last heavy rain. They came out, gave us a quote and didn't constantly bug us to make a decision and sign a contract with pressure tactics.  I hate when companies try and pressure me to make a decision or the price will go up. We took our time and they answered our many questions since we wanted to be more thorough in the process than the last cheap roof we had installed just 11 years ago. Frankie and his team of roofers were friendly, professional and did a wonderful job on the roof and clean up. Our roof wasn't even that old, so I didn't think I'd notice much of a difference in the appearance, but it was like night and day! They painted all the old exhaust / plumbing vent pipes to blend in with the color of the shingles and the new attic vents blend in so well you hardly notice them. We also had all of the fascia boards replaced which made a huge difference. We love our new roof and highly recommend Competition Roofing.

A Rare Find in Roofing—Honest, Hands-On, and Meticulous What readers of reviews want to know first: I did my homework. I’ve dealt with four companies in recent years that I’d recommend without hesitation—and Competition Roofing now joins that short list. I interviewed several roofing companies, including the big-name firms you constantly hear advertised across Southern California. Two of those reminded me of the old-time car salesmen—slick, high-pressure, and vague on specifics. That’s not what I got from Bob and his wife, who own and operate Competition Roofing. They were involved from start to finish, not just signing the contract and disappearing. The crew that worked on my home was professional and took real pride in their work. Every day, they cleaned up thoroughly and left my property looking excellent. The craftsmanship was exactly what I hoped for. Bob also gave me a choice that most wouldn’t have even offered: I could go with the traditional overlapping side caps or opt for a cleaner, more modern finish without them. I went with the streamlined look, and the result speaks for itself—it’s sharp, durable, and well-executed. My background is in Vocational Education, so I know what quality labor and sound construction look like. I’ve done my own work over the years, but at this point in life, I hire carefully. I look for honest, knowledgeable, licensed contractors who treat the work like it matters—and Competition Roofing hit that mark exactly. If you’re looking for a roofing company that avoids the hype, keeps things straightforward, and actually cares about doing the job right, this is it. Bob and his team have earned my respect and recommendation. Respectfully submitted,

Competition Roofing recently replaced my entire roof. From the beginning, Frankie was very thorough in his explanation and the price was fair & reasonable. They started the work on time and were very communicative throughout the whole process. The roofers were extremely friendly and hard working. They kept my yard free from nails and debris at the end of every day. They finished the project in less than a week and it passed inspection immediately. I couldn’t be happier with my overall experience with Competition Roofing.

Our roof was in desperate need of replacement. Bob's son, Kyle, came out and was informative and respectful. He said the job of stripping off the old roof, repairing any damaged wood, installing paper, trim and new tiles would take a week. This year's continuous rains kept pushing the job back. With a two day window of no rain, Bob sent his crew out and these guys were on a mission; the job was done and everything was cleaned up in two days. Good job guys!
