  They sent a contract out for signature last week. I got financing squared away over the weekend. Then they sent a pdf reflecting a price increase. That is shady business practice. I'm sure they will respond saying prices have gone up in materials "since July," but they sent the contract for signature last week, which is August.

  Ms. Marcus, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. When we originally provided your proposal on May 25, 2026, the contract specified that pricing would be honored for 30 days. Despite significant material cost increases throughout the summer, we voluntarily extended that pricing well beyond the original expiration period in an effort to accommodate your timeline. At the beginning of August, you indicated that you wished to move forward with the project, and we were happy to do so. However, by August 10th, we had still not received a signed agreement. Unfortunately, during that period, our suppliers implemented additional material price increases. Because we had already extended the original pricing by more than two months, we could no longer honor the May pricing without absorbing a substantial loss. To minimize the impact, Chief Roofing absorbed a portion of the increased costs. The proposal adjustment amounted to $420 on a project totaling approximately $12,000, which is less than the material cost increases we experienced. We understand that any price increase can be frustrating, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience. However, we believe in being transparent with our customers about market conditions and the reality that roofing material prices can change over time. We routinely advise homeowners that delaying a project may result in pricing adjustments, not as a sales tactic, but because material and transportation costs are beyond our control. Throughout this process, we remained in regular communication and made every effort to accommodate your schedule and decision making process while holding the original pricing for as long as reasonably possible.   Mr. Booth, we are sorry to see you are not satisfied with the repair we completed for you in 2022. However, after speaking with you to address your dissatisfaction, we are still not clear as to why you are not satisfied. The photos you posted show the metal pipe flashing we installed with hidden fasteners and extra gaskets which are all above industry standard. Per our recent phone call, you have not experienced any issues with the work we completed. Your review was posted 17 months after the repair because someone told you it doesn't look right. We would have been more than happy to re-evaluate your repair had you called us when you were told it didn’t look right rather than writing an unsubstantiated 1-star review. We would still like to have the opportunity to address what you feel is an issue. Please let us know how we can help.

  I used your service through Select Home Warranty. Your Tech came to my door and told me that he was there to replace a shingle, which is what I had requested be done through Select Home Warranty. When he was finished, he knocked on the door and told me that he had replaced 2 shingles. I asked him if I was to pay him, he told me I would receive a bill. He never told me the price, and neither did your office during the calls made verifying this appointment. As a customer I believe that I have a right to either approve or disapprove work before the work is done. This never happened, and I assumed because Select Home Warranty was covering this service for replacing the shingles, this was not necessary. On the next day, I get an invoice from Chief Roofing for $402. Select Home Warranty later informed me that the diagnosis was a leak repair. I know that there was no leak because I had previously had a contractor come out to replace the shingle and he told me to just call a 'handyman' to replace the shingle as they only repaired roofs. The contractor told me that the roof was fine otherwise. I am appalled by this situation. I am charged $402 for work that I did not authorize, and because Select Home Warranty only covers 'patches', (which is what was needed), they will not cover this repair. They also cannot be held responsible for your company performing unauthorized work. My experience with your company is unacceptable on a number of levels. I think potential customers need to be aware of my experience.

  Would put 0 stars if I could. Chief just cancelled an appt. to repair a roof leak. First could not schedule for two weeks, then called on day of appt to tell me that they did not have a "repair person" anymore and could not do the job. Lame!

  per my boyfriend who left a review here, he asked them to come out when they meet to get quote for web work, he explain to them I'm a single mom with 2 kids at home and low budget needing two skylights repaired per bad past metal roof install. They called the very day they where going to show up weeks later, with NO notice, it was raining and the owner was very rude! He seems like he was above anyone and better then us. His sales men as very impatient, and they tore out of there like it was not worth their time etc. We got the quote to just fixed two skylights of $1,500!!! My boyfriend explain to them I only paid $5k for the whole roof! NEVER use again, got it fixed for $400 since then, and they did a great job.

  Chief Roofing, Inc They did a great job replacing our shingles and repairing any water damage from the old roof. Highly recommend this company. The office staff was prompt and friendly. The owner is a great guy!

  Our relationship with Chief Roofing started over a year ago when seeking help with a small roof leak. The minor issue was quickly addressed. Without pushing a roof job, Destin pointed out a few things to consider if/when the roof was to be replaced. When we decided that reroofing and new skylights were needed, Chief and two other firms were requested to propose. While not the lowest quote, Chief’s proposal was much more comprehensive and clear. Everything they represented in the proposal was delivered. Having a fully staffed, experienced crew got the job finished ahead of schedule. Supervision and communications were strong throughout the job. We highly recommend Chief Roofing.
