They've been on my building's roof for the past 6 months for hours per day, making ungodly noise with drilling and scraping. The building haven't told us what's happening or when it's ending but this company has become the hate of every tenant in my building in Victoria.

Good morning Simon, I know the project you are referring about. It is ours. I did ask our foreman to go to the building's main entrance. There are letters posted at various location since September 2024 letting the owners and/or tenants know about this roof replacement project. Work started in November 2024 and we are finishing it this week. After this, we are repairing three (3) balconies on the 3rd floor. If you'd like, I could send you a photo of those postings. It is normal, specially in the morning, when the crew is removing the old roof and disposing of it. It could take 2 to 3 hours. After that, noise goes to a minimum because the new roof is being installed. Going back to your question, the building owner is responsible to inform the owners and/or tenants about noise and any other type of temporary measures while a roofing project is ongoing. At this time of the year, weather plays a big role because rain affects production directly. If it's raining, crew doesn't work.
