  I normally don't bother wasting my time writing up a negative review of a product or business, but Black Diamond's repair was inadequate for the performance of the work and the customer service response. After nearly 2 months of attempting to get on the schedule (quoted in October 2024, worked in December 2024), we had Black Diamond remove a deck on top of a flat membrane roof, install new flashing to fix a leak near the walls, as well as perform an inspection of the roofing material before re-installation of the deck. Shame on us for not inspecting the work thoroughly before we paid (lesson learned), after it rained a couple weeks later we called to tell them that their repair was unsatisfactory, their solution was a quote for a similar amount to replace the roofing and decking (supposedly in "satisfactory shape" only 1 month prior). Not only was the roofing visibly in poor condition, but they left garbage like old screws in the gutters, there are unsealed penetrations in the roofing for water to percolate through from the old deck screw holes, and the newly installed flashing wasn't sealed well (see the image of the massive gaps in their glue job). I would never recommend them to anyone I know, if you're satisfied with their work ours must've been an extraordinary case, but from our personal interactions with the company they were unacceptable.

  Tony, you hired us to do a repair almost 6 years ago, and are 4 years past your warranty period. We spoke on the phone a couple weeks ago, and on that phone call I told you we had to schedule a time to come out to take a look at it (keeping in mind you are out of warranty period), and that we were a couple weeks out from being able to do so. During that time we had this severe windstorm hit, and we've been inundated with almost 300 calls/texts/emails. You did not call me a year and a half ago, nor 2 years ago. I am still willing to schedule a time to give you a quote on your out-of-warranty repairs, as I told you on the phone, but ONLY if you remove this false and misleading 1-star review. Thank you.

  I contacted Black Diamond because I knew they were one of the best in town. They came out and gave me an estimate, I submitted to my insurance and when I was ready for them to repair my roof, I got no response. I went with a other contractor who was very responsive and kept me up to date on the progress of supplies and when they would be here. I would not use Black Diamond again.

  I don’t recommend them.! There are many roofing companies that will charge you a lot less money for the same roof installation, quality and warranty.!

  I contacted Black Diamond Roofing and Construction after finding their information on the web and reading some of their reviews. A guy named Josh answered my call. He was polite and professional. We were having quite a bad storm and I was having 'Ice-Damming" because of it which was leaking badly into my garage causing holes in the ceiling where water was pooling. Josh informed me he could come out in a week to assess the damages and help resolve my issue. I'm a first time home buyer so I felt Josh was sincere and attentive to my concerns. On the day of the consult, I was away on travel and had a family friend meet Josh. I was very disappointed that Josh spent less than 15 mins assessing the issue, and concluded that it was my plumbing/pipes causing the leak. I'm not an expert but I was about 90% certain it was not the plumbing as it's a new home. I called Josh shortly after he left to find out the issue and he told me "There is no way it can be the roof causing the leak, you need a plumber". Again, not being an expert I consulted a plumber who showed me that there are no pipes running over that section of my home and it was sadly, likely the roof from the ice-damming. Frustrated, I contacted another Roofing company who came out a few days later with 2 experts this time and concluded it was in fact 100% ice-damming. They removed the new ice and snow, applied heat tape to what they determined to be the problem areas and repaired the damage in my garage. This was the level of service I was expecting from BDR&C and just did not receive. I was disappointed that more consideration wasn't exercised to triage and resolve my issue and despite appearances Josh neglected to deliver true customer service to a first time home buyer. First impressions are everything, and I won't be consulting with them going forward.

  Jermaine, I was at your home for about 45 minutes. I waited outside your home for almost 20 minutes beyond our scheduled appointment because the person that was to open your home was late. While I waited I set up my ladder to knock off some ice that was forming on the roof against your stucco, and didn't want to see any stucco damage to your home. I did so at no charge. Once opened, I went into the garage and found a leak approximately 11 feet inside the garage ceiling, which was, according to both you and your friend who opened your home, directly under the master bathroom. I had asked you if there was any water on the bathroom floor from the second story roof, to which you had informed me that you hadn't seen any, but were out of town. I was not given permission by you to check out the upstairs bathroom, so from the limited information I was given, I could not properly conclude that you had an ice dam issue. Ice dams do not travel 11 feet under a bathroom floor, as an ice dam has to come from the roof. I could have just charged you money, cleared the snow off, and been on my way. But I asked you to check with a plumber and get back to me if he didn't find any evidence of water leak from the bathroom pipes. You said you'd get back to me, and this low rating is the first I've heard from you since I was out to your home. To give me a 2-star rating and accusing me of neglect is frankly quite dishonest. I'd challenge you to revisit what actually happened and remove this poor review. --Josh, owner of Black Diamond Roofing

  Received a call when working crew was going to show up. They arrived within 10 minutes of that call completed the job replacing missing shingles from a recent windstorm in less than an hour shingles blended right in with a roof line. Couldn’t even tell where they had to do the work cleaned up afterwards. Did an outstanding job.

  What a hard working crew! They only took 2 days to completely install a new roof and repair the damage at the skylights. Everything was completely cleaned up at the end of each day. Our new roof looks great! We couldn't be happier. We highly recommend this business.

  I can't speak highly enough about this company. Jake was incredible to work with. They replaced our roof in 2022 and just added attic vents for us. Highly recommend.

  Jake arrived promptly at the beginning of the 4 hour estimated arrival time. He was courteous and helpful, and completed the repair quickly. I’m very pleased with the results and will be calling Black Diamond for any future repair or replacement needs.

  I have had three roofs put on over the years, the most recent one was installed by Black Diamond. I will never use another company again! What a difference a good company makes! Black Diamond is knowledgeable, professional, clean, careful, fast and their rates are comparable to everyone else. They came highly recommended by multiple friends and I can see why.
