  False advertising, unprofessional Called Benjamin Bros. on May 10th to inspect some cedar siding needing replacement as their website advertises they replace "cedar siding". Tim came out on the 15th and seemed to be having a difficult time figuring out what material he felt would be better than what's currently there and they would only be doing the front and one side of the building so it should match one would think. Tim had mentioned a different material instead and he would send a photo and he also said we should have the estimate by Monday the 20th. Time went by, no estimate so I called on the 28th and spoke to Lee who said they would get that sent out. A couple more days passed without a word so I texted Tim on May 30th with no response either. Finally we get a response on June 4th. Tim stated that they are to busy doing roofs and wouldn't be able to get to our job!!? Then it would have been nice to know that when I called originally! Guess our job is out of their expertise because I've never heard of a more lame excuse!! They shouldn't advertise what they can't deliver. However at least someone finally had a little decency to reply! Thanks for wasting our time!

  Terrible installation and a failure to fix

  We're sorry you feel this way now, Morton. You were really nice, great to talk to, and you even referred us on to replace your daughter's roof after we replaced yours in 2016. You called in years past and we always came to re-inspect. Earlier this year you called us back again about a mysterious leak. The first time we sent Jonathan to inspect and he couldn’t find anything wrong with the roof. The second time we sent Art, who performed a water test on the roof with a water hose while you watched the area for a drip and no leak was identified again. We would have fixed the roof if there was something wrong however we sent people multiple times and never found a problem. Still wish you the best.

  We had a complete tear-off of a cedar shake roof with a new roof installation. Benjamin Bros was fairly priced, did the work in a timely fashion, was reasonable about certain extras, made sure the house was protected for the 2 days of work, and cleaned up carefully afterward. We recommend them!

  Would refer to anyone needing a roof install. Tim was very professional and responsive. Project took 1 full day to complete and the crew cleaned up well. Minor issues with how careful the crew was with shrubs around house but nothing serious and Tim was responsive with minor fixes at the end. All in all good experience.

I found working with Benjamin Brothers very smooth and much better than my interactions with other local competitors who I spoke to while I was pricing out the project.   Great company to work with. As a first time home owner we were dealing with our first insurance claim. Cody and Lee walked us through the process, met our adjuster when he arrived, they were available anytime we had questions, and coordinated the entire process all the way through. Our new roof and new siding look amazing.

  I called my insurance agent after the recent hail storms in Downers Grove and he recommended I called Benjamin Brothers Roofing & Exteriors to inspect for damage. Cody came out right away and confirmed that I had hail damage on my roof and gutters so I filed a claim and Cody met with the insurance adjuster and pointed out damage to help get the claim approved. Highly recommend them for help with your insurance claims!

  Working with Benjamin Brothers has been a great experience. Our home was damaged by a storm last year, we wanted someone local. Our neighbors recommended them. We have had such a positive experience working with the entire team, they are very responsive and are great a communicating. Highly recommended.
