  Called for a quote on a roof repair and was told "I'll tell you right now we won't come out for anything under $500". Ok then. Bye.

  Our minimum service fee is $300.00. We were only ballparking that for a repair to a roof of your size it would be approximately $400-$500 to give you an idea of the cost. We apologize for the confusion.

  I received a quote from this company and they subcontracted (Darrell’s Eaves) the work out to another company. I thought they would be doing the work themselves. I had some issues with the workmanship and Alf’s roofing refused to deal with it and they gave me the name and number of the guy that installed them and left me to deal with the other company. Poor service. Left a mess as well. Very disappointed as this company came very highly recommended. * has since been resolved by management at Alf’s Roofing.

  We are a family business and do not subcontract to any other company’s; Darrell has been with us for 25 years doing eavestroughing for us and his father before him. All employees are family or long term workers. Unfortunately there was a lot of debris in the eavestrough but we're glad he could come back the next day and do a more thorough cleanup with a hose.

  Had me shingles put in 9 years ago by this company, during the installation they put multiple holes through my roof that had to be repaired(6000$ in damages they had to pay) I guess stuff happens but I wasn't impressed. At that time they told me they were 35 year warranty (IN WRITING) now I called to get them looked at for warranty issues and they are now denying any claim. They state do to Alberta climate they are not covered. Will be reported to the BBB. Not an honest contractor. Terrible customer service and installation. DO NOT USE THEM.

  Although we have no record of this incidence we are sorry you are having issues with your shingles. All shingles sold in Alberta are rated for our climate as they are also manufactured here in Edmonton and Calgary. If you are experiencing product issues please contact the shingle manufacturer directly for a warranty claim.

  Wow, this company is like amateur hour. They are a bunch of hacks. I paid them to do a job and they left a hole in the roof. Once it rained, the water started to come into my house. I personally had to go and fix the hole myself. I called them and the lady would refuse to help me. Kept talking in circles and trying to say it's my fault for a hole they drilled and forgot about. She eventually hung up and left me confused on how ignorant someone could be towards their customer. I would never recommend this company to no one, if anything beware.

  We are sorry you have had so many issues with your new roof since the original installation by ANOTHER company. In the report from the insurance it mentions all of the screw holes and low nails on the roof from the previous install. We only installed additional venting as requested for all of the condensation issues. We let you know that to warranty the roof we would need to reroof it. We are unclear as to why you would expect us to warranty the existing issues when we have not installed the roof?? We do not put up with bullying or threatening phone calls to our staff. #bekind

  When I emailed for a quote, I didn't expect that there would be a representative showing up at my house unannounced walking over my roof while I'm at work. My teen daughter, who happened to be at home, phoned me in a panic wondering what was happening. When I phoned your office requesting an explanation, you stated this is your standard practice and started arguing with me. That's a big NO in my books. Great way to kill a potential deal before we even begin. Two thumbs down for this company. 👎 👎

  Hi Michael, you requested a quote on your house and we came out the very next day. We had explained to you we would be taking photos and measurements and emailing you the estimate. The estimator had knocked on the door and no one answered. We are still very confused that you called the office yelling at staff and asking why we were at your house??

  Called Alfs the night of the snow squall Jan 20th and left a message requesting an appointment for an inspection and likely repair. Got a call back saying they would try but likely wouldn’t be able to get to our house until Monday the 25th. Fair enough, that was fine. Monday I call to find out when they would be arriving, was told they were super busy and would hopefully be at our house in a couple days. Ok, a call to update would have been nice but I recognize it’s a busy time. Friday the 29th arrives and I’ve seen roofing companies in our neighborhood all week. So I call again and I’m told that it snowed and the weather got cold so it was probably going to be another couple weeks. The woman I spoke to seemed to be completely indifferent. I was just disappointed in the complete lack of communication. Won’t bother trying to use this company again. Edit to respond to owners comment: Sargeants roofing came out on Monday and repaired on Wednesday in snowy, cold conditions. If you don’t do repairs in inclement weather, you should have said so when we initially called.

  Unfortunately, due to the polar vortex, we are currently not able to work on steep 2-storey homes. We did let you know originally it would be at least a week or two before we could come out with extreme cold weather (-30) and snow preventing us from roofing. We are happy to hear you had also called a second company and they were able to help you.

  $300 to repair 1 shingle, and didn't even use the same shingles. They have no warranty information and don't stand by their installations, big time pass on this company.

  We only charged $250 to inspect your roof, replace missing shingles, tab down shingles and add nails to vents and flashings. We always try and match as close as possible but we cannot match exactly to discontinued product that are older than 10 years.

  Never did show up to repair roof. Waited almost a month before going elsewhere.

  We had let you know we would be out after the -40C temperatures as we do not and cannot work in those extreme weather conditions during the winter for obvious reasons. The safety of our workers is our priority.

  We are very happy with Alf’s install of our new roof. The estimator was a pleasure to deal with. He answered all my questions and gave suggestions. The crew that installed our roof was professional, courteous and not obtrusive. Was a little apprehensive from issues of roof install years ago when they didn’t lay tarps to catch debris for stripping old shingles. This crew was amazing at keeping our flowerbeds and yard in the same shape as when they arrived. They even cleaned our gutters when done. Lot’s of work for them on our 2020sq/ft. house plus attached garage. They got it done in a day. Looking at our new roof I can see the extra effort in detail that we didn’t see on our last roof install. Great price for the extra effort in detail. Alf’s has a great display room that we used to pick our shingle, valley type and colour. The office staff is knowledgeable and excellent to work with. Alf’s Roofing will be my first recommendation for anyone asking. Thank you Alf’s Roofing, Arnie

  Very quick to respond and are easy to communicate with. Roofing job itself was done very quickly and clearly of professional quality. There was one minor hiccup shingle that we noticed and a roofer promptly sent to fix it when inquired. Would highly recommend!

  We had Alf's Roofing replace our shingles recently and it was a hassle-free experience. They will not try to upsell you on anything and there are no hidden fees. They have been in business here in Edmonton for decades and you can be confident that they will take the necessary care and attention with your roof. Their roofers started early, worked extremely quickly and efficiently, and finished the same day. Afterwards you could not even tell they'd been here - besides the new roof, which looks great! Highly recommended.

  Great experience from begging to end. Received a quote very quickly. Samples were delivered to my door to choose from. Work commenced within a week of giving them a down payment. Quality work in a very short period of time. Thank you!

  Great customer service and workmanship. The office staff was very knowledgeable and got my quote to me so quickly and answered all my questions. The roofers did a great job and cleaned up so well after. They definitely earned a five star!

  We recently had our roof done by Alfs Roofing Company, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the first consultation to the final cleanup, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The team was punctual, respectful, and clearly very skilled at what they do.
