  Not about the quality of work, as we never made it that far. No one answering the phone at the West Coast Roofing office. Instead, a pre-screening answering service eventually led to Jay, who was out in the field. After speaking with him about my project, Jay said to leave a text msg and he would get back to me for an appointment. Waited all day but no one replied until I reached out again. When I finally got through to Jay again, he offered a next day appointment with an estimator. I agreed to their day/time and moved other appointments due to the urgency of my roof issue. 15 minutes before they were due to arrive, I receive a text msg saying the estimator won't be able to make it that day. My cordial response to them was that I chose West Coast because they had great reviews and were very close to my home but this wasn't a very good impression so far. Three days later, no response from anyone at this company. I understand people get busy and sometimes your office staff is short-handed, but there was ample opportunity given to change this situation into a positive experience.

  We hired West Coast to replace our roofs as part of a repair negotiation while under contract with a buyer to sell our house. At first things seemed fine, but our mini split AC systems would not turn on after the job was complete. West Coast sent out two of their workers to investigate, who claimed to not find any issues caused by their work. However, we knew the system was working perfectly due to the home inspection done days prior to the roofing job. We had two separate HVAC companies come out, and both discovered & photographed evidence that West Coast had put a nail through our refrigerant line, making the system inoperable. We had to delay the closing of our sale in order to negotiate and pre-pay for a new lineset repair (an $1825 job), on an extremely tight timeline because we were at risk of losing our sale. These repair bids also had to be approved by our buyer. We have been going back and forth with West Coast's office and team, and have asked for them to cover the cost of this repair due to the damage they caused. They said they would not cover the cost and offered up their "specialists" to fix it , but our situation required the work to be done by a professional HVAC company and our trust had already been shaken due to the fact that they previously denied causing the damage. We had a uniquely stressful experience due I hope it will be resolved fairly. If we are refunded the $1825 we had to cover for their damage, I will be happy to adjust my review accordingly to reflect an honest, fair outcome.

  Josue missed our first appointment for a bid due to a car accident. He was over an hour late to the redo. Bid was reasonable but when I email him some questions I go no response. Followed up by leaving a phone message. No response. Called the main number and someone answered from what I assume was a vehicle due to all the road noise. They apologized for Josue's lack of response and said they would have him call me. That was Friday and it is now Monday. I called the main number again and got a generic voicemail box so not even 100% sure it belongs to the company. It's been a week since my first email. Is this just going pains or am I witnessing a company imploding?

  West Coast roofing was the least expensive of three estimates(by several thousand dollars) they did an EXTRAORDINARY job. There were no hidden extra costs, they left our property cleaner than they found it, protected all our shrubbery, were always on time and very service oriented. I would give them 7 stars if I could.

  We had West Coast Roofing and Painting replaced our roof. They did an outstanding job and we are very pleased. We scheduled the job and they were at our house on time. They stripped off the old roof, replaced some water damaged wood and also repaired a faulty furnace vent line for us. All new flashings were installed and it took them a smidge over 2 days including all the cleanup. They were very friendly and their communication was very much appreciated. It is so nice when a contractor shows up when they say they will and then do a fantastic job. A huge thank you to West Coast Roofing and Painting and a special thank you to the crew that worked on our house Josue Sanchez, Roy and Eric, you guys are awesome.   These guys were awesome to work with! We needed part of our roof fixed due to a leaking skylight and other damage. When additional repairs were needed, they notified me right away so I could approve the change order. No surprises on the final bill. I’ll definitely call them when I’m ready to replace the remaining roof.

  I recently had my house roof updated by the West Coast Roofing and Painting. The new roof looks beautiful (refer to the pictures). The entire crew did an amazing job to complete the work on time and avoided the rain the next morning. Everyone in the crew was very courteous and extremely hard-working. They also kept the job site clean and organized both days, even my neighbor noticed that. :) You might wonder how their quote compares to other roofing companies? I asked three roofing companies to give me their quotes. West Coast Roofing's estimate was competitive. they were just a tiny bit higher than the other company's quote (within $100 difference) based on the same brand and same grade of the shingles and everything else on the contract. I had to choose one company from the two very close bids. The estimator, Josue, made it easy for my decision. Josue, who was a very experienced roofer himself, climbed up to my house roof and took pictures to show me the windstorm damages to my roof, and then he gave me his recommendations. The other company's estimator looked around my house and from the other side of the road and that was it. I value Josue's efforts in earning every potential business contract including mine. Lastly, everyone I interacted in this company was friendly and very happy to help their clients, From Zury who answered numerous questions for me on the phone, to Roy and Eric, the crew leads, and the rest of the crew members who I don't have their names with, I appreciate your hard work. I'd recommend West Coast Roofing & Painting to my friends and neighbors.
