  I had a very difficult experience dealing with Steve Furtin from Vault Roofing. When I informed him that I planned to use another company, he questioned whether the company was licensed. He then accused me of committing fraud if I didn’t use the full amount of insurance money allotted for the job—an outrageous and unfounded accusation. Steve was extremely unprofessional throughout our interactions. If you want to avoid being belittled just for choosing another company, I suggest steering clear of Steve and Vault Roofing. Additionally, his pricing was inconsistent and seemed designed to pressure me. His initial quote was $52,000, which he then dropped to $44,000, and finally to $37,000—a $15,000 difference that felt unreal. In contrast, I contacted another company with a price of $28,000, and their response was courteous and professional, simply wishing me the best and stating their offer was good for 30 days. I have all the text messages to back up my experience, if needed.
