We requested a quote from Stronghold roofing to inspect the siding on our home and replace damaged locations. We worked exclusively with Ken Gunter, project manager in trying to coordinate the work. Not only was he constantly unresponsive, but was repeatedly patronizing and rude to us over text. I am severely dissatisfied with the level of professionalism of the employees of Stronghold roofing. We will not be using their services now or anytime in the future.

very disappointing the way our insurance claim was handled by stronghold after several promises and confirmation that we will receive a refund back no matter what. It is unfortunate that the agreement made with stronghold was not honored …

Fouad, We appreciate the opportunity to clarify what happened. When your insurance initially stated a gutter replacement would be covered under your policy, we moved forward with the work based on that approval. Several months after we completed the work, your insurance company found a mistake in their initial approval due to a soft metals exclusion outlined in your policy. In our several attempts to come up with a resolution, you have been unresponsive to our communications. We cannot issue a refund for work completed due to a change in your insurance decision, as this is not something we have control over. We encourage you to call us to reach an agreement and continue your discussion with your insurance provider. We fulfilled our commitments and completed the work to our highest standard. Our goal is always to be transparent and do right by our homeowners, and we stand by the work we completed on your home.

Stronghold replaced the roof on my house on June 5th, 2024, and the experience was a disaster. They performed the work on a day of heavy rain, which nearly destroyed my entire home and caused significant financial losses to our house and personal property. The adjuster estimated the cost of restoration at around $300,000. In addition to this catastrophe, the roofing job itself was riddled with issues. These included numerous creased shingles, humps, ridge capping problems, damaged shingles with punch holes, loss of granules (signs of foot stepping without proper protection), and misaligned shingles with uneven spacing and non-straight lines. After consulting with roofing professionals, their conclusion was that, because of these widespread issues, the entire roof needs to be replaced.

Beware of a company that CLEARLY does not know how to read or obey clear signs. My door clearly says NO SOLICITING and well they left their long paper advertisement in my door handle. if a company can disregard the wishes of a non customer then how will they respect the wishes of the actual customer! BEWARE !

Beware of this company’s guerrilla-like sales tactics!! One of their agents, Andres, told us he’d give us a free roof inspection. My husband agreed to let him. Andres came down and showed us two pictures of a small dent in the shingle from a hail storm back in May. I mean, literally, TWO whole pictures. He then proceeds to start filling out paperwork without explaining to us what he’s doing and what for. Come to find out, he filed a report with TWI. Nothing was said that if approved by the insurance company, we’d need to get a new roof within 6 months or we’d lose our coverage. Nothing was said about how much it would cost. Nothing was explained about anything of the process. TWI ended up sending an inspector out, who was very professional and knowledgeable, and told us that besides those two dents in the two shingles, our roof was in very good condition and he’d be surprised if they approved the claim. He even warned me that we have a high deductible that we’d be responsible for. Somehow, TWI ended up approving our claim, telling us it would cost about $20K to replace, and that’s when Andres starts to hound my husband about getting the roof done and getting both of the checks from the insurance company, totaling about $10K. He never once gave my husband a quote or even a ballpark figure. He was just so adamant about getting both of the checks! It all smelled incredibly fishy. So we ended up getting some quotes from other local roofing contractors with actual $$ figures for the entire scope of the work needed to be done and found that most of them charge about half of what TWI estimates are. We went with one of those contractors (Achilles), who was professional and clear in his communication, and got our roof replaced for a fraction of the insurance estimate. The moral of this long story is that 1) if you went with stronghold, you got ripped off and way overpaid; and 2) stronghold, among a lot of other roofing companies, has figured out that TWI will pay out well, s

After Hurricane Beryl in July 2024, my insurance company denied a new roof stating it could be repaired. From the number of shingles I picked up from the yard after the storm and from subsequent storms and wind events the roof was not in good shape. In January 2025, while working on another roof in the neighborhood I met Andrew and Wanda of StrongHold and myself, my wife discussed with them the roof and that we were denied a new roof. Ironically our insurance company was at that time being investigated for denying replacement roofs in North Carolina after they were hit by a hurricane. They were also named defendant in a class action suit due to denying roof replacement and the CEO was hauled in front of Congress to answer for it. So Andrew climbed on the roof, was up there 30 mins, measuring, drawing chalk outlines indicating damage, took lots of pictures. Climbed down and told us “ we are going to appeal this”. We said fine and he explained in detail the process. It took 2 months, he kept us updated and boom April 13 he called and the roof was approved and we just had to pay the deductible! Up to that point we were no money out of pocket for StrongHold file the appeal, hire a 3 rd party appraiser and deal with the insurance company on our behalf. April 24 the crew started at 6:30am and worked till 9pm. They moved plants, furniture, covered everything including the pool, spa, beds. They were back at 8 am the next day to clean up, and you would not know they had been there. The clean up was spotless! We have a beautiful roof, well installed, top notch materials and warrantied till well past I’m gone. If you are in a situation like we were call StongHold ask for Andrew and you will be as happy as we are! I highly recommend them!!

Steve, thank you for taking the time to share this. That’s a long road from denial to approval, and Andrew stayed with it the whole way. Good to hear the crew took care of your property and left things clean. Glad you’ve got a roof you can count on.

Working with Stronghold was a nice experience. Eric was very hands on and pleasant throughout the project. We never had to wander about our project being complete in a timely manner. Any type of flaw was dealt with and addressed. We highly recommend them and if needed would not hesitate in using them again. With our roof installation Stronghold had to take off our solar panels and replace them after the roof installation was complete.
