  A1 Roofing and Siding installed siding on our house and ended up puncturing several holes in our A/C Freon line. The A/C technician diagnosed that the siding company (A1 Roofing and Siding) was at fault. We notified Steve (the owner) who told us to pay the repair first and then he would reimburse us. But later he changed his mind and wanted to pay 50%. He denied liability and responsibility by lying that we asked him to put nails in that area. He claimed he has 25 years experience and has good ratings. But would an experienced professional listen to a customer’s request (which we did not request but he claimed we did) and drive nails through the A/C line? We tried ways to resolve the issue, but we only received unpleasant, sarcastic responses from Steve. We had no other choice but to file a small claim in court. At the end, he still had to pay his liability plus court costs. There are consequences of dishonesty and malicious lies. A good contractor-client relationship can lead to repeat business, referrals, and word of mouth marketing. That goes a long way.

  Mr. Lee. We responded immediately to assist with the issue for your A.C. Technician. We assumed financial responsibility and split the cost with you. We never nail in between studs, never. You asserted yourself and directed us to nail in between the studs ( after the siding was already up and covering the wall ) even though we felt uncomfortable doing so. Your A.C. situation has been resolved and you have been reimbursed. I have a copy of the check that was deposited in your account. Accidents do happen on job sites. However, this is the first time in 25 years we hit an A.C. line. This would have never been an issue had you not advised us to install more nails in an unusual manner.

  A1 roofing did a great job repairing a leak in my roof. They responded very quickly, and did a thorough job. They positively identified the location and cause of the leak. They replaced the damage plywood sheathing and matched the shingles. Their price was very fair. I would definitely use them again If needed.

  Steve has been unbelievably helpful with getting my roof replaced. Great customer focus and the work was well done. I had multiple unfortunate events happen in a row to my roof, and he was really attentive and able to work with me quickly when I needed it. Definitely felt like I could trust the work that was being done. At the end, I knew I had made a really good choice in hiring A1.
