  After a bad wind storm blew off several shingles and caused damage to the siding, gutters, and soffit, i called a local roofing company to inspect everything. todd came out within a day, checked the roof damage carefully, and explained the insurance process in simple terms. He also helped me understand the claim details and what needed to be documented. When it turned out the shingles were discontinued and the insurance company was slow to respond, jay stayed on top of it and worked hard to make sure the roof repair was handled the right way. He really advocated for a proper solution instead of a patch job. In the end, the roof system, siding, gutters, and soffit were all replaced and brought up to code. Evan showed up on time, introduced himself, and used a drone to inspect the roof and take detailed photos so I could clearly see the problem areas.   After comparing a few roofing options, we chose a shingle roof for our home in San Jose and requested three estimates. Sterling Roofing Repair was not the lowest bid, but it clearly offered the best overall value for roofing service. The materials were high quality, and the warranty on both the shingles and labor gave us extra confidence. Evan handled the estimate and roof evaluation, and he was polite, professional, and easy to talk with. Jay led the installation crew and stayed very attentive throughout the roofing job. There were a couple of minor issues during the install because of an unexpected rain shower, but he had follow-up repairs arranged before leaving that same day. Todd returned afterward and took plenty of time to go over every question and concern with us. He made sure the roofing repairs were completed the right way and to our satisfaction. When everything was finished, the roof looked great and you could not tell where the earlier issue had been. You may find a cheaper roofer if you keep searching, but it would be hard to find better workmanship, better communication, and better customer care.

  Sterling Roofing Repair installed our metal roof and did an excellent job. Recently, when some siding was removed for replacement, it left an opening along the roof line where the second floor meets the roof. I reached out for a quote to add new flashing and extend the metal roof panel, and the pricing was very fair. They were able to get the roofing repair started right away, which helped keep the whole exterior project on schedule. The finished work looks great, and the new flashing blends in well with the existing metal roofing. The crew worked fast, paid attention to detail, and made sure the roof line was properly sealed and protected. Their professional service and quality workmanship kept our siding installers moving without delay. We were very pleased with the original roof installation, and we are just as happy with the recent roofing work.

  Evan and his crew were honest, professional, on time, and did high-quality roofing work. Evan took the time to answer all of our questions clearly and patiently. Since we were also having siding and trim replaced right after the roof was finished, he explained what to watch for so everything would stay properly sealed and weather-tight around the roof, chimney, flashing, and siding. He even came back later to inspect the completed work and make sure we were fully satisfied. Great service, strong communication, and solid workmanship. Highly recommend.

  My home is over 100 years old and had four layers of old roofing, so this was a major roofing project. Sterling Roofing Repair gave me the lowest quote by a few thousand dollars, and I still feel completely confident the work could not have been done any better. The crew did an excellent job and worked hard to get the new roof installed before the rain came through. Because of the age of the house, some hidden issues showed up along the way, including rotted fascia boards and other repairs that needed custom-cut pieces and extra roofline work. Even with those surprises, they stayed as close to the original estimate as possible and explained everything early and clearly whenever something might affect the cost. That kind of honest communication made the whole roofing process much less stressful. I also noticed Todd, the job foreman, taking extra care with the eaves and trim, even handling small details that were not directly part of the main install because it would help protect the roof system and make it last longer. That really showed pride, integrity, and real craftsmanship. In San Jose, where roofs need to stand up well to sun, heat, and seasonal rain, that extra attention matters. Overall, I felt heard, respected, and never pressured at any point. The workmanship, cleanup, communication, and care for the property were all outstanding.   A roofing crew came out to fix a leak around my chimney chase on a large fiber-cement rooftop box. Another roofer only checked it from the ground, talked about possibly replacing the whole roof later, and left without doing a real roof inspection. This team responded fast after my call, got up on the roof, carefully inspected the chimney area, flashing, and chimney box, and made the needed roof repair. After the next heavy rain in San Jose, there was still a small leak. They came back, checked the problem again, and asked me to call during the next strong rain so they could track the exact source of the water intrusion. When I called, Jay and Evan arrived quickly, found the issue, and repaired the chimney area again at no extra charge. They were professional, skilled, and easy to work with through the whole process. I appreciated their follow-up, clear communication, and willingness to stand behind their roofing work. I would definitely call them again for roof repair, leak detection, flashing work, or any other roofing service.

  even though sterling roofing repair was very busy after strong winds, evan came out quickly and gave me a detailed inspection of the roof damage. he found matching shingles, returned right away, and got started on the repair. he did a very professional job replacing the damaged shingles and adding sealant under each edge to help protect the roof. he also gave me a full report on the overall roof condition and shared photos of areas that may need attention later. i really appreciated his speed, skill, and roofing knowledge, and i will definitely call again when it is time for a full roof replacement.

  Highly recommend this roofing crew. Todd answered my call right away and scheduled a visit to inspect a partial roof replacement and some leak issues. They arrived within the week, right on time, and were very knowledgeable, helpful, and easy to talk with. After checking the roof, Todd explained that the older section still had several good years left, but he also found a few nail pops and worn areas that were likely causing the water stains and small leaks I had noticed inside. The next day, I received clear and fair estimates for both a future roof replacement and the more immediate roof repair work for the house and garage. Jay and Evan showed up as scheduled, kept me updated, reviewed all the trouble spots with me, and got started right away. Since rain can come through during wet weather in San Jose, I really appreciated how proactive they were about timing and making sure the roof was sealed up properly. They truly went above and beyond on the garage roof repair. One damaged section needed a deeper plywood cutout and replacement than expected, and they handled it without adding extra cost. They also sealed up several cracks around the chimney flashing area and let me know what to keep an eye on over time.
