  Run! Inept company that hires more talented company to do their job and charge hefty premium. Lawsuit pending.

  It's really unfortunate that you felt the need to make such a condemning review. Yes, we hire out gutter work like many contractors do. We are a roofing and siding company, and we offer gutter work because they go hand in hand. We hire some of the best for our clients. On a large section of your home (the mansard section), there weren't any fascia boards for the gutters to be installed on. This was not discussed as part of the project, and when our gutter team arrived to install, they informed you that it would need to be taken care of before they could finish. That was not something we agreed to do, and you found someone else to handle it without letting us know it was done so we could return. Then you contacted our gutter contractor behind our back, asked them to return, and used that as ammunition to berate our business and insult my staff. We then provided you an discount for your trouble, removing more than our profit we would have made, and sent you an invoice for the work done at less than the cost of the labour and materials provided by our gutter contractor. If you're going to threaten a lawsuit, its probably best that you share the whole story so people can make their own judgement. Good luck and all the best, Sincerely, Management.

  My parents tried to get a simple quote from this company twice. Unfortunately, both times the appointments were cancelled on short notice — the first with about an hour’s notice, and the second just thirty minutes before the scheduled time, by text. I understand that things can come up, but reliability really does matter when you’re trusting someone with something as important as your roof. If a company struggles to keep basic appointments, it doesn’t give you much confidence in their ability to handle bigger commitments. As for the owner’s response: claiming my parents were aggressive is simply not true. They were just disappointed by the repeated cancellations, which I think most people would be. If more effort went into keeping appointments instead of making personal accusations online, this review wouldn’t have been needed. I hope others have a smoother experience, but based on ours, I can’t recommend Rydel Roofing.

  Hi Phil, I appreciate your honest feedback. Our team holds integrity to a high standard in our business. So if one of our guys had to reschedule, there would have been a serious reason to do so. Perhaps you don’t have all the information. That being said, the hundreds of clients we work with in a season tend to be very happy with our systems and quality of workmanship. I think it is unfair to not recommend a company based on them needing to reschedule. We also will cancel a quote with someone if they are acting aggressive or becoming angry over little things. From our notes, it’s clear this might be the case. Good luck finding someone that will tolerate that behaviour.

  Tried twice to get a quote and appointment was cancelled a hour before it was scheduled. If I can’t trust this company to get a quote then a roof installion would be next to impossible

  Hi Jerry, Thanks for your message. I see you and your son Phil decided to both make a comment about the same quote being rescheduled last minute. Like it was said in the last reply, if a quote had to be cancelled there was a good reason. It’s likely you don’t have all the information and you’re basing your reviews off a limited experience.   We had Rydel do both of our roof and siding. Both experiences were wonderful. Their workers did a fantastic job, paid attention to all of the small details. Dustin even got in on the work, installing the gutter guards. All of the work came in on budget as well. I highly recommend them

  Fast and professional service, your roof will look the best it has in years! The team was professional and ensured that all aspects of the install was done properly, and even fixed up a few things that weren't quite good enough hiding under all the old roof. Absolutely get these guys to set you up.

  Communication was excellent. They ordered roof decking material to arrive with the roof just in case the 60 year roof had rot and failure. I had failed. Lots of progress photos along the way.

  Dustin and team were friendly, knowledgeable, hardworking, and dedicated. They're all knowledgeable about the products offered from creation to installation. I had a Canadian made, recycled rubber roof installed awa gutter. No issues, looks amazing! 100% would recommend.
