  This company left a note on my door telling me I had hail damage on my roof and that I should call them and file an insurnace claim. I did. The insurance adjuster came out and found NO damage. I showed him the note with River Oaks business card. He laughed and told me that the sales people get paid by getting people to file a claim. Well about 8 weeks later I recieved my renewal and my insurance went up from $2200 a year to $2800. My Agent said it was due to the claim I filed. Then I recieved a letter today, I now have 60 days to replace my roof or the insurance company is going to cancel my policy. Do not do business with these people!!

  Michael, this is Ryan Burt at River Oaks Construction. There are 3 points of your review I would like to review for you and all homeowners in the Hattiesburg area to see for themselves. 1.) We do not have salesmen. Period. We get our business from customers calling in and referrals from those customers. We have HAAG certified inspectors that are more qualified than the vast majority of insurance adjusters in the state of Mississippi. Once again for good measure, we do not and have not ever had salesmen that solicits business door to door like other "chuck-in-a-truck" roofers. 2) The google account you left this review from has been active for less than 24 hrs and looks as if you've made an account only to leave two negative reviews. 3) It's sad that the negative reviews we have on our profile are proven to be roofers that don't understand that we have the means to track back every call that comes in to the business and tracking devices on every vehicle that lets us know EVERY house that our vehicle was ever parked in front of. For my assumption that you are a roofer in Hattiesburg and that this is another negative spam review aimed to hurt the public outlook of River Oaks Construction, I'm offering you a $200 gift card to your restaurant of choice if you can present me with your address (where I can verify that we weren't at your house) and the note and business card you "received" If you'd like to call the office and provide that, I will personally deliver your gift card to your home.

  Never replied. Awful service. I contacted Cox and Pearson. They came out and gave estimates immediately.

  Dear James Walley, We have a database with every inspection, phone call, email, and notes on any and everyone who reaches out to us for all inspections, adjuster meetings, repair quotes, and all other business related conversations ensuring that no one is left with subpar customer service. It seems the only phone call we've received this year from any individuals in Hattiesburg with the last name Walley was from a marketer soliciting business for their own services. If you could provide an address to us in your reply we will double check to ensure you that we haven't been contacted directly by you where we can verify that this is in fact a review left in bad faith. I speak on behalf of all of our employees. We strive our hardest to care for all of our clients and potential clients in an exemplary fashion that hasn't been apparent in the Hattiesburg roofing industry for decades and in return we've noticed that some of the "fly-by night" contractors in the area don't like us and unfortunately we have to deal with these false flag negative reviews on the regular.   I wanted to hire this company to do my roof, thinking that they were a local company. After checking into them, I found out this is, in fact NOT a local company at all. They are from the Jackson Area and the address listed is not an actual businesss. It is an apartment complex!!! They do not even have an office here. Not very honest to represent yourselves as a local company like this. If they are this dishonest in marketing, how could I ever trust them to do the roof right?

Patrick Wallace the owner is our only salesperson due to his commitment to uphold the standards of quality and customer service, deserving of those in his community. Patrick grew up in Hattiesburg and went to college here as well. While our community has been hit by a rash of storms and Covid-19 fears, all of which require us all to rise to these trying times with our very best, you’ve elected to stop helping our community and instead, dishonestly slander a fellow local business owner. Presumably, if you spent less time bad mouthing other local businesses you might have more time to spend in responding to your own customer’s needs. No one ever called. After waiting a week, I gave the benefit of a doubt and contacted them back. I was told they had been busy and would contact me back quickly. I did, finally, receive a return call the following morning from Mr. Pearson directly. Arrangements to come for an estimate were made for that same day. However, he never showed and never called. It has been approximately 3 weeks since my initial call and I have yet to even have an estimate provided by this

  River Oaks Roofing is one of the most professional crews I’ve ever worked with.   First, River Oaks makes scheduling an appointment a breeze , with a clear process using their website, and/or calling the central office. The complimentary roof inspection, by Patrick Wallace, was handled with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. His inspection revealed not a roofing issue, rather a faulty vent pipe, which he documented with photos, Then he graciously shared those photos and advised it be replaced, and contact him again if I needed any further assistance. So when I do need a new roof, or repairs, this is the team I will trust to handle the job. Gwendolyn Doby

  We had a small issue with a ~10 foot section of our roof that made the rain pour onto our porch (built poorly by previous contractor). No roofing company would take the time to fix it after a consultation because it wasn’t a big enough problem for them to make a large payout on —except for River Oaks. They answered our calls, responded promptly, showed up, and solved it. It impacted our porch (and everything on it) & our ability to use our outdoor space completely. We are really appreciative of their time and consideration to help small significant problems like ours. Extremely kind staff. Would highly recommend.
