  I do not recommend R&B because of the lack of clear building details, especially when permits are involved. My husband and I live north of I-10 in lower Alabama and were initially told our foundation would need 12-inch footers. Because the county would require foundation specifications for inspection, we asked R&B to provide them. The specs they sent showed 20-inch footers, and when we questioned the difference, we were told 20 inches was now required for all their buildings—even though their website still states 12 inches. We also requested generic drawings, which cost an additional $200, but they refused and said we could only purchase engineered drawings for more than $1,000 because the generic drawings do not show the wind rating. This was concerning because the company advertises its buildings as Category 2 structures rated up to 150 MPH winds. R&B did refund our deposit, but based on our experience, I believe that was because of the inconsistent and potentially misleading information about their footer requirements.

  R&B refuses to honor their WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY. Even after sending their own employee out to photograph/document the holes in the siding, the warped frame installation of the service door, the crooked rollup garage door, improper placement of tracks, and the improper placement of the garage door’s bushing, the supporting wall studs that are inches to short from roof joists, they claim “We have done everything we can to make this customer happy and it was still not enough to please him. At this point, there is nothing left that we are able to do”. On top of these problems the building is not plumb, leans. Their company’s refusal to honor their WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY have left me with no choice but to hire another company that has skilled installers to correct all the poor workmanship of their crews and sue them from the costs. This is their WARRANTY that they are refusing to honor. Avoid this company at all costs! 90-Day Workmanship Warranty. R&B Metal Structures warrants that the structure will be free from any and all defects in workmanship 90 days from the date of installation. 1 Year Door and Window Warranty. R&B Metal Structures guarantees that all doors and windows will work as designed for a period of one year from the date of installation. Brought R&B to court because they refused to correct the poor workmanship of erecting the garage. Submitted photos, documentation, and the correspondence to the court. Court ordered judgment for total cost of garage to me.

  These people are awful. Paid for specific plans so could get concrete slab poured and now they won't deliver my building. They've rescheduled delivery dates 4 times at the last minute. Don't know if we'll ever get it. Save yourself some headache and money by looking elsewhere for your building. These folks don't honor their commitments.

  Thanks for your review Mr. Sullivan. Yes, we do install metal structures sold through our network of dealers throughout the southeast. All of our dealers are very up front about who they sell metal structures for, and all onsite signage, order details, receipts and invoices are very clearly marked with R&B's information. Also, your statement that our buildings are installed by "traveling installers" is 100% false. ALL R&B Metal Structures buildings are installed by our own, highly trained, crews. We do not "sub-out" our installations to the lowest bidder, although this is common among nearly all other metal building companies. We do have provisions in our contracts that allow us to place liens on property for instances just like this one... You were present at the installation, and you directed the installer to place the cover "against the fence". When you were informed that we couldn't place the structure directly against the fence, you agreed to have the left leg aligned with the left gate post. Our crew set both base rails in place, stopped, and verified positioning of the building with you before continuing. You approved the offset positioning (in relation to your gate opening) and went inside. Upon completion of the building, several hours later, you refused to pay your remaining balance. Our crews cannot extend the width of a custom sized building once it is produced. They also cannot move a building once it is permanently anchored, simply because you "changed your mind" about the positioning after approval. Our crew and our Customer Service department did everything within their ability to make you aware of all of the issues you mentioned in your review, prior to the building being completed. We produced, delivered and installed the exact custom building you ordered, and placed your building exactly where you approved it. It's unfortunate that your review doesn't reflect these same principles. We believe that egregious public misinformation should always be addressed as an opportunity to reinforce our guiding philosophy, and ethics, publicly... Our Quality Assurance Team was dispatched to your building immediately upon us receiving your initial concerns. Upon arriving, they were denied access, by you, to examine the building and address these concerns. Our offer to remove the building was rescinded upon learning that the Dealer had refunded the deposit prior to you denying our crew access. The photos posted with your review were taken on day 1 of a 2-day installation, prior to completion of construction. They do not, in any way, reflect the building's condition upon completion. The legal collection processes you described are time-consuming (in this case a 2-month process), and can only be utilized as a "last resort" instrument. Lien's are only issued by the court when all other methods of compromise have been proven to be exhausted. We regret that any of these measures were necessary, but we know your R&B Building will live up to our high standards for many years to come.

  Devyn was great at helping me plan and finalize my purchase of my RV cover. Material ordered and install was scheduled. Ease and his crew came out and did a very good job installing the cover.
