  Extremely overpriced. Twice as expensive as most other roofing contractors in the area. Did not use Polaris.

  Salespersons can make or break the consumers' experience. Consumers, and Seniors, be aware, bad experience with salesperson managing my quote. LACK of communication, technical knowledge, materials, scheduling, and project management. Owner did not engage until frustration issues reached elevated levels. I cannot recommend this company.

  OK, you asked for it, so now you're gonna get it. Contacted Jesse in late July though a mutual friend and he came out to take a look a small repair I needed done. I set up a ladder and he spent several minutes on the roof taking pictures. When he came down, he said he'd have numbers for me that evening. A couple days later, I hadn't heard anything so I texted him to see if he'd had a chance to run up an estimate. No reply. I waited another week and tried again. Again, no reply. Two weeks later, (Late August) I reached out to the mutual friend to see if he'd heard from Jesse lately. Friend told me he'd just spoken to him that morning and would reach out to see what's up. Jesse told him he'd been sick and would get hold of me later that evening. (Sound familiar?) That was over TWO MONTHS ago and I never heard back. I called Flagstaff Roofing in early September and John came out a couple days later. In LESS THAN AN HOUR, I had an estimate in my email. A week later, my roof was fixed. IMO, Polaris is yet another of the MANY contractors in Flagstaff who can't be bothered to show any professionalism or just basic common courtesy. I was a contractor for decades and NEVER ghosted anybody. Run, do not walk, away from Polaris Roofing.

  Ask for a quote for a new metal roof, and they said they would be here on a Friday. I asked if they could call me when they were on there way, never heard from them..Curious if they even came, have texted & called but no response. Guess I will try some different company's. 🤷 …

  Written late September of 2023: Roof communication was good until half way thru. Then they said PM would be there the next morning to look at the damaged spot before starting to put the new stuff on and would tell the crew not to put on materials. Project mgr didn't show but the crew did. I had to step in and tell the crew to stop work. I wound up having to insist they replace a board, and then they didn't show me the resulting work (because I was at inside teleworking). This is the PMs job not mine, are you going to pay me for running part of the job? Then crew lead said they took a pic but despite 4 asks, still haven't delivered that pic. They were supposed to put on gutters in the next 1-2 weeks (the materials were already purchased they said). It has been 6 weeks now, 4-6 text messages asking for timing and lots of "I'll look into it" and no follow thru. Then on Sept 7 we gave them a must-be-done by date of Sept 18 for gutters and on Sept 20 we messaged them saying we need to be done and they finally replied but with no date. I called twice this week to ask for a final attempt or take that off our contract. No response. They were really good at first, working with insurance, sticking with us, but really faltered at the end and we are still waiting on it and they are holding up the next stage of our insurance claim. *Updated December 30, 2023: in November I filled out the website form. In December I called and left a message. Can you please confirm what number to call and who to ask for? I would still like to connect with you all to try to resolve this. I don't want to post my phone number here but maybe you can look it up in your records. It ends with a 0.

  Really disappointed as I heard in the past they were great. They said they would do things and never followed through several times. They told me they were so busy they were basically going to price gouge me. Use caution with this company.

  Huge thanks to these guys. We had a vent cap knocked off during a storm while these guys were working next-door. They came right over and did the fix almost immediately after the rain let up. Really thankful for them especially during monsoon season when it rains daily.

  We received prompt, personalized service from Polaris Roofing. The roofing of our house and barn was completed within a month of our first meeting.   Working with Ian Fryer has been a real treat !! I am a local Realtor in Flagstaff. He has been my go to for inspections and repairs over the years. He will be doing my roof in the next coming months. He always is there when he says and gives a fair quote and is very transparent with fees and costs. He is my go to roofer !!!

What Flagstaff Homeowners Should Check on Their Roof Before Monsoon Season. Monsoon season in Northern Arizona runs mid June through mid September. The roofs that make it through without leaks are the ones that got walked in May or early June. Here is what to check. Look at south and west facing slopes for curling shingles, cupping, and dark patches where granules have worn off. UV at 7,000 feet is hard on those slopes between seasons. Check the rubber boot collars at every plumbing vent for cracking. That single item accounts for 35 to 40 percent of everything we flag on pre monsoon inspections, and the rubber usually opens up between year 8 and year 12. Clear pine needles out of valleys and gutters. On heavily wooded lots, three to four inches of buildup by June is normal. Confirm downspouts discharge away from the foundation. Then get in the attic with a flashlight and look at the underside of the deck for staining, daylight, and rusted nails. Timing is the whole point. A lifted shingle in May is a small repair on a clear day. The same shingle hit by a 65 mph gust in the first July cell pulls its neighbors loose and exposes the underlayment. Two storms later you have water on the deck and a ceiling stain. Same problem, five to ten times the cost. Dated photos also give you a clean baseline. Without one, claims often get partially denied as long standing wear.
