While Orion appears to be professional on the front end, we found them to actually be non-transparent and very expensive knowing that my insurance carrier would be paying for most of the bill. Once they got a signed contract they basically disappeared for a month and it wasn't until we called that they told us that the window was on back order for an additional 2 months. As a way to save money and time we asked could we re-install a window? They said no, that is not good construction practices. Well guess what? They initially installed our new window wrong and proceeded to re-install it. I assume that construction practice does not apply when it comes to increasing your estimate? OHI charged us $10K for basically 1.5 days worth of simple carpentry work and a window install. We have many more projects at our house but OHI will not be considered. Fraud? We were very clear from day 1 about looking for ways to decrease our out of pocket expense. We cut several items (ex. installing lower end window) and asked several times what our savings would be considering the revised scope from what was priced with the insurance company. We never received an answer until we saw our final bill. I do not consider that fraud. As for your sales rep, he called my wife yesterday despite me asking for a return call.

Thank you for sharing your experience and concerns. I would like to address your concerns here. On April 5th Brian addressed your question about re using the window that was part of what looked to be a violent impact on that wall. - The framing seemed twisted and cattywampus - There is so much rebuilding that needs to be completed in that area, it would be best to have the new window built to the new opening in the wall. - There is far too much risk of further damaging the window (framing, seals, etc...) with a removal, salvage, and reinstall. As a professional company we have no way of knowing to what extent the old window will perform or fail and as such we cannot warrant re using an old window. Re using the old window is a very different situation from resetting / readjusting a brand new window that has not been involved in a violent impact on the wall. As for the timeline or what you called "disappearing" - we received the signed agreement from you on Sunday April 18th, On Monday the 19th the job was approved in our system and a welcome email sent to you. On April 21st we transmitted the measurement request to Vytex window manufacturer and after a couple clarification emails with our manufacturer the measurement was scheduled for Sat May 1. We received the manufacturer sign off and 8 week estimated delivery from Vytex on May 5th which we approved that same day. The information about the install and product delivery time was relayed to you on May 11th. Lastly you berate us in your review because of price. We gave you our estimate for the work which is based on our expertise on industry standards for this work including all the effort and overhead that is necessary that is in addition to the 1.5 days you mention in the review. You then sent our scope of work and estimate to your insurance carrier. They approved the amount which they would not do if our estimate was considered "too high" So we invoice based on the approved insurance amounts and limit your out o

Before I begin, I want to say that the contractor that we hired was a very nice and friendly person. Thats the reason why we hired the company decided try and use them for our entry doors. So, let's start. We hired them in early December for windows and a sliding door because we got a new house and wanted new windows for winter. Was told it would be completed 6 - 8 weeks. Main reason we agreed to the contract because of the cold. After we waited 5 weeks I decided to call and get an update since I hadn't heard anything which was fine. I was then told it was now 8 - 10 weeks from when we hired them. Ok because of covid, I get it. Again we waited a few weeks without any update so I call just to check in. Now I was told 10 - 12 weeks. I ask why the push but no one is updating me unless I call? Not much an answer except they were sorry. I emailed the contractor to express some concern because a lack of updates. No resone until about 2 days later or so. Finally when winter was ending we get the door and windows installed. They look great so we said despite lack of contact we will get a price for entry doors. Was told on day of appointment that we would get the estimate that day. It was a Friday so I figured maybe by Monday. No estimate until the following Sunday. No reason why the delay. Getting irritated I called the manager to see why the lack of response and delays. Not much from her besides I should contact the contractor. I did ask for a discount for the doors because of the issues with them twice now. I did ask for a unreasonable amount lower thinking I was right which I agree was unreasonable. My bad. When I did get a new estimate thinking maybe a couple hundred lower, it was actually $500 more. Shocked, I asked why and was told because I asked for a discount that why shouldn't it now be higher? Also, in 2 days that somehow the price for materials jumped that much. Getting now more irritated I try and salvage the relationship because again the contractor was a grea

Brian - Your project was held up by COVID related material delays. This is NOT our fault. Not to mention that we receive APROXIMATE material delivery dates form our manufacturer and when we relay that information to you we always follow up with WE WILL CONTACT YOU WHEN WE HAVE NEW INFORMATION. Well if we do not receive new information there is nothing to update you on. Your rudeness on the phone and demanding a ridiculous discount on a product you haven't even purchased yet and you expect me to bend over backwards for you? I am sorry but my team delivered an excellent finished product and I am sorry that you cannot understand that there are things that we cannot control. As for price increases, fuel, raw materials, labor shortages and yes current election and administration policies all attribute to increased prices. I may have added a little to that $500 increase but you earned that.

They didnt properly seal the shingles allowing water to leak down inside roof. They did come back to seal it but no mention of repair water damage to roof.

We will be reaching out to see if we can address this concern and ensure you continue to receive the best service we can provide.

Guy came out and talked a lot about how great Orion is and that I would have my quote within 24hrs. I have been expecting a quote for a week and a half now. I called and emailed and have not received my quote. I do not recommend this company at all. Customer service is horrible.

We would never use this company again. It was a terrible experience. We hired them to do some misc work on house including, new gutters, repair rotted wood, replace rake board, window caulking, replace a couple spots of a few shingles. The project started badly from the very first day. I received an email that work was to begin on June 21st, a week after we paid our deposit on June 14th. Nobody showed, called nor emailed on the 21st to say no one was going to make it. On the 22nd a roofing guy showed up and did the roof repairs. He also replaced some wood but he had to leave as he wasn’t scheduled to do any work other than the roof on our house. The person to start the other work showed up but didn’t stay to do any actual work. The gutter guys showed up at 3:30, discovered rotten and unpainted wood so they had to stop since there was no one available to repair the wood which was part of the contracted work. The gutter guy called Geoff (our sales contact) and sent him pictures of the wood. The gutter guy said Geoff was going to call me with a plan but he didn’t. On June 23 work was done on wood replacements. 6/24 nobody showed. I called Geoff about why no one was working and he said he’d call me back, he didn’t. By 6/27 when nobody had showed up still and I still had not heard from Geoff I called Jason (supervisor), I explained the situation and was told he’d get us back on schedule. 6/28 power washing started 6/29 work was done all day, Geoff showed up and we went over in detail all that still needed to be done. I didn’t hear one word nor did anybody show up to do any work until July 29, yes a whole month. 7/29 Geoff called and we set up a time to meet that day. I asked him multiple times why he didn’t think they were in default on this contract, he would never tell me why they were completing ignoring our job. I went over all of the outstanding items, and he agreed to all of them. He told me he would call me on Monday, Aug 1st to let me know the schedule.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to meet with me at your home. You were very warm and open which helped me understand where we failed you. While many folks who had received an experience like yours would be hostile and angry, you were quite the opposite. We both agree there is no excuse for how the project unfolded, but I'm glad you were willing to chat about some of the reasons it went awry. As you know I had already made some changes prior to our meeting and I was able to take some of our conversation back to make another policy change that should prevent similar issues from happening in the future. I know you now have a better understanding of how we truly value our customers. You allowed me to return to the home and address the concerns you had regarding some of the caulk and window trim work. My team and I finished with those items and kept to the schedule promised for this visit. I simply hope that my actions as the owner of this company will be enough to re write the ending of this story. All the best Jeremiah Davies

Orion has replaced our front door and French doors that open onto the patio. We could not be happier with their service! The owner has come out himself to adjust the front door when the weather got warmer and he cleaned out and fixed the retractable screen on the patio doors. I have posted the before and afters of the front door. Beautiful!

OHI really saved me when a previous contractor’s work left a sever leak in my roof over a weekend. They got someone out very quickly to patch it, and eventually replaced the entire roof. The whole team was honest, responsive, professional, and did great work. Very glad we found them.
