  My wife and I did extensive research before selecting a roofing contractor. We reviewed all available material options. For durability and aesthetic reasons, we had our hearts set on Decra stone-coated metal shingles. It became a focal point of our exterior renovation. We interviewed at least eight different companies. Most contractors either had their own “version” that was similar but not the same or didn’t work with metal roofing at all. From the very beginning, Matthew at NYNJ was not only interested but enthusiastic. He met with us multiple times prior to any agreements being signed, just to be sure we were confident and aligned. He was and has been extremely communicative before, during, and after the installation. His crew was notably conscientious about cleanup at the end of each workday, especially during the very messy demo of the existing asphalt roof. They worked through bitterly cold winter days to ensure our roof was covered and secure through the heavy snows that pummeled the region earlier this year. It was evident throughout that Matthew is personally invested in his business, takes his reputation seriously, and takes pride in the quality of his work.

  From start to finish, our experience was outstanding. They completed our roof, siding, and screened-in porch, and I truly cannot say enough good things about the team and the work they did. They were incredibly responsive throughout the entire process, always keeping us informed with great updates so we never had to wonder where things stood. Communication was excellent, which made a huge difference and gave us a lot of confidence along the way. The quality of the work was amazing and exceeded our expectations. They paid attention to details, the finished result looks fantastic, and the cleanup was perfect. You would never have known a major project had just taken place because they left everything so clean and organized. Most importantly, they earned our trust. Finding a company that does great work, communicates well, and truly cares can be difficult, and they checked every box. I highly, highly recommend them and would absolutely use them again. In fact, we already want them to do more work for us in the future.

  I recently worked with Matt and his team and had a great experience. They were reasonably priced, extremely efficient, and completed the work quickly without compromising quality. We have a 7-acre property in Port Jervis with three houses, and Matt’s team replaced the roofs on two of them. The results exceeded our expectations, we’re very happy with how everything turned out.   After years of water leaking and structural deterioration, we finally decided it was time for a complete roof replacement. Matt and his crew did a great job at our house. They replaced the roof in 2-3 days and he did not “inflate” the original estimated price for the job. We considered several local and national roofing contractors/companies, and Matt was the one with the clearest answers to our questions. He guided us through material options (metal versus shingles) with patience and expertise on the subject. The cost of the roof replacement was reasonable, and we like to support local contractors for this kind of work. Beyond the obvious aesthetic improvement, we are very happy with our new roof. In the future, we may call Matt again for other house-related work.

  Matt was very quick to respond to my call. He took the time to walk me through all the details that he found when inspecting my roof. It was clear from the video that he was giving me a level headed fact based assessment. Not knowing much about roofs I had a number of questions and matt patiently explained the answers. At no point did I feel like he wanted to move on to a "higher paying job". Finding an honest and articulate repair person is really critical to protecting your investment in your home. I am very glad I found NY/NJ Roofing and will use his services in the future. I highly recommend this company!
