  He did an amazing job on my mom’s roof but he is terrible with communication. When I needed papers for the insurance company it took weeks to get what I needed. Now we need a copy of the warranty to close on selling my mom’s home and he will not return the phone call. I am so disappointed.

  Company uses illegal marketing tactics. Calls repeatedly on our cell phones. This company and its phone number were reported to the FTC for improper soliciting

  We were unaware of this all together thank you for letting us know. We do not cold call customers all of our customers come from the web organically, referrals or repeats.   $650 worth of work that should have only been $5 worth of window caulking! I had a water leak from rain and Nick came out to inspect it and stated that the shingles needed to be replaced and some caulking around the top of the wood near the shingles needed to be caulked. He was sure that his work would NOT leak again...he even gives a warranty on the work. Well, within 4 months I need to call to utilize that warranty because the same exact leak was back again after a hard rain. He came out again and stated that it was the window that needed to be caulked and the shingles were fine. I asked him why wasn't that suggested or done the 1st time....that way I would have maybe felt like the $650 was worth it. He said with roofing they just never know for sure where a leak is coming from. I thought that was sort of stranger for a company with so many years of experience. To go back to the beginning.... When Nick came out to do the initial inspection I never got the impression that when I scheduled for the work to be done that he would send out some non-English speaking men that asked me details of what needed to be done instead of him doing the work or at least coming to the job to make sure they did what I was paying for. After the 2nd issue he did the same thing, he inspected it and then sent out the same guys to caulk the window. Nick NEVER came back out to make sure it was done correctly, nor did he ever even call or text me to say the work was done and was I satisfied.

  Hello Mrs. Cushon, At the beginning of our meeting I explained that the roof and the siding had to be addressed in the leaking area in order to take care of the issue to ensure the work could qualify to be warrantied. Since Modern Roofing can not warranty another contractors work. Also, it may seem simple to find a roof leak but it is not always simple. Especially when you find multiple possibilities of leaks in the roof and the siding in the leaking area, which puts a company who warranties their work in a hard spot. The roof and siding trim sealant were part of the original agreement which you stated was not mentioned. It is in the scope of the proposal we emailed to you. After our last meeting when we came out we explained that from the pictures that Cesar sent me originally, as he always does, it all looked finished and sealed. When I was taking a look at everything, he had missed an area that was a little hard to see and that is when I explained that part of our original scope of work was not finished but it was simple to fix and after knowing the roof repairs were done I was very confident that would be the last possible leak in that area. I stated for you to let me know if you have any more issues after I send Cesar and Juan back to your house. We did not know you were expecting a call from us to check in- we apologize and will keep it in mind for the future.
