There’s no point to a warranty if they never respond to siding falling off. They finished the work in August. March a piece fell off. They rehung it a couple weeks later. It fell off the next day. Been waiting ever since for it to be rehung. Gonna call someone else.

We're very sorry for the trouble and you’re right — a warranty should mean prompt, lasting repairs. This delay and the repeated failure to stay attached is unacceptable and I apologize for how long you've waited. I am escalating this to our warranty manager right now and we will contact you within 48 hours to schedule a permanent repair at no additional charge. If you'd rather reach us sooner, please call our office or reply to the email on your invoice so we can prioritize your job.

TL;DR: I should not have had to become the quality control manager for this project. Between repeated installation deficiencies, broken promises, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct, this became an exhausting experience from start to finish. The siding itself turned out well, but the trim, finish work, and overall workmanship did not. I ultimately paid the final balance just to be done with the company and will be fixing the remaining issues myself. I cannot recommend them. The detailed review is below. ... The siding itself looks good overall, but the trim, finish work, and attention to detail leave much to be desired. While the project looks acceptable from a distance, a closer inspection reveals numerous shortcomings. Unfortunately, the experience of working with this company was equally disappointing. If proper weatherproofing, adherence to manufacturer installation guidelines, communication, professionalism, and attention to detail are important to you, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Joe's portion of the project was characterized by poor communication, a complete lack of preparation, and unprofessional conduct. There were repeated issues with tardiness, trash left around the job site, and arriving without the necessary materials to complete the work. At one point, a person Joe brought with him, whom I had never met, walked into my home without asking permission. During Joe's portion of the project, the mounting bracket for one of my security cameras was also broken. As the installation progressed, I repeatedly identified deficiencies that should have been caught by the contractor, including damaged and improperly installed house wrap, incorrect flashing details, and siding installed without the manufacturer-required clearance above the concrete slab. Most of these issues were addressed only because I documented them and insisted they be corrected. When I first raised concerns about the missing clearance beneath the bottom course of siding

Ultimately, as Ms McCluskey noted, the product looks very good and despite the poor review we will warranty our work as we always do. The lesson we learned is that if the homeowner had already had one contractor walk off the job, it very well may be an issue with the homeowner and not the contractor. We wish the McClusky's well but would not entertain ever doing work for them regardless of how good the project was.

Well, I dealt with both Ian and his Dad Rob over my roof when they ran D&K Exteriors two years ago. At the time, I was having problems with leaks in my old roof both interior and exterior. Ian himself came out and gave me a good estimate and told me that I had hale damage and should contact my Insurance and set up a claim for roof replacement. They felt I would qualify and offered to work on my behalf for dealing with my assessment. I had Ian place a tarp over my house in the meantime which I paid him $500 for. My assessment was done and I was denied total roof replacement by my insurance. When I questioned Ian about our next plan of attack, he told me that he had never dealt with insurance turn downs before and he would have to consult with his Dad, Rob. I waited three months to hear what would happen next. When I finally called him about it, Rob told me up that they would draft letters for me to sign and send to my insurance asserting that I would take my insurance to court in order to get them to cave in and give me the replacement I needed. Meanwhile, the rooftop tarp became brittle and ripped to shreds one weekend due to high winds, having it's threadlike material blow all over my yard. When I contacted Ian about replacing the tarp, he offered to do it for an additional price of $500 dollars. I felt that I should not have to pay an additional price since they kept me on waiting on the hook for getting my roof dealt with. When I told Ian that I did not think I should pay another $500, I never heard back from him nor his Dad again. I was not trying to be difficult, but I was being assertive and they totally dropped off my radar. I never ever saw those letters that his Dad would draft for me to sign. I eventually found another reputable roofing company that got me another Insurance assessment and helped me replace my roof and took care of all of my leaks at a total transparency. These guys I think have moved on to having another roofing business.

We are glad that someone finally was able to get Mr. Stengel a new roof However, we do want to address a couple things in this negative review. First of all, KC Quality Exteriors has never done anything with Mr. Stengel. Mr. Stengel contacted our sister company D&K Quality Exteriors in January of 2021. D&K is primarily an exterior commercial construction company that handles large projects. For example, they have put on the hardie board siding on 4 Great Wolf Lodges around the country and installs TPO roofs or roof coatings on big buildings in the midwest. I am not sure why D&K handled this matter rather than KC Quality Exteriors but that appears to be the case. KC Quality Exteriors does primarily residential roofs and siding. Both companies are in good standing and doing quality work in Missouri and Kansas. Any implication that D&K is not still operating is false. Mr Stengel contacted D&K about his roof in 2021. We inspected the roof, told him there was some storm damage but that he also had an old worn out roof. Mr. Stengel chose not to do anything then In June of 2022 Mr. Stengel had shingles blow off of his roof from a wind storm. He called us and we tarped his roof. He called State Farm and he did not have us meet the adjuster for whatever reason. State Farm only provided nominal damages for his roof. We contacted State Farm and asked for them to allow a reinspection so we could be present and they refused. In October of 2022 Mr. Stengel advised us that he was frustrated and was going to get another roofing company, I called him and let him know that he might have success if he contacted State Farm and requested an appraisal under his insurance policy. He asked if we could do it and I told him that it would be better coming from him but that we would help him He asked about cost and I told hi m that the adjuster typically charged between $500 and $1000 and if he could not get it resolved that way then the two appraisers (his and th

Editing review. Communicating throughout the process was terrible. The owner rectified a mistake they had with my gutters and I thought all is forgiven. Fast forward he said he wild fix anything as a warranty on my Siding. I called in April days he would send someone put it's currently July and noone has shown up. Ive called and text repeatedly heard nothing!

Ms. Harrell's siding was damaged by a lawnmower. It was not covered by our warranty nor would it be covered by anyone's warranty. She received a quality job at a very reasonable price. We did fail to provide a copy of her warranty and apologize for that oversite but the complaint about the damage to the siding not being covered by a warranty is not valid.

I appreciated Rob's heart of a teacher as he came to give us a quote for roofing & gutter replacement. I felt confident in the work that he was proposing. His team did great work and we love our new roof & gutters and they did it at a good price. They also took extra care to pick up any trash & nails. We highly recommend KC Quality Exteriors.
