  Mostly because of his good reviews we contracted with J. (Jose) Torres Roofing to replace our roof. What a mistake! (The photo below, taken after he “finished” our house, shows how "honest" he ISN’T and the "good work" he DOESN’T do. I've asked him many times to "fix it" but - as in his response below, he defends it.) Jose comes across as a very nice person. However, in our experience with him we learned to not trust what he says - he may or may not do it. And, don’t expect him to take responsibility for what he does or doesn’t do. He said he would seal the corners of our rain gutter – he did. He said, he would touch-up the paint on 10 small spots on our rain gutters. He talked several times about doing it and when - he never did it. This issue was not such a “big deal” by itself, and not in our contract, but it did expose his dishonesty and made us wonder if there were other things he may have also been dishonest about in replacing the roof, having phony reviews, etc. Our contract said he was to replace the drip edge. He did, but also decided, by himself, to change the color - without our approval. Who could ever think that was a good idea? Our past drip edge color matched our fascia, rain gutter, wainscoting and house. We liked it and had never even considered changing it. But he did!!! When new shingles were being put on the house we noticed the drip edge color was off- white, instead of beige, and did not match anything - ours had matched everything. We very much had liked it that way. It now looked like a big mistake. I asked him why he had done this. He said his supplier only had 2 colors of drip edge and he did not have time to make even one phone call to another supplier to find the very common matching one. So, he chose what he thought was the best one of the two. He actually did something this consequential that was not in our contract nor had our approval. We then expected any responsible contractor would be willing to help resolve an issue he c

  Here in this case you are trying to make it seem like I am a bad person , dishonest , and that my work quality isn’t good enough which is totally incorrect. How can you speak so negative about the person who only tried to help you paint some corners of your gutters, all of this is outside of the roof contract. I offered to help you because you are an older gentleman with all due respect. I didn’t want you to have an accident getting up on the ladder and doing it yourself. That’s why I was kind and courteous and told you that I would paint the corners with spray paint but as long as the color was the same as the existing color, which in this case unfortunately the spray paint was not the same. I told you that if you wanted something professional in painting I could send my painter but that I had to charge you for the work and you did not accept. After all this , you threatened me with leaving a bad review, I proposed that we put aside the misunderstandings and that I was going to bring my painter to paint the supposed 10 corners of the gutters and around 8 feet of drip edge that were exposed and that I would pay my painter out of my pocket without problem , but the next day you came out with other things that you wanted me to paint the entire drip edge which I did not accept , because I told you that in the roofing materials company these two colors (Almond & Tan) were the most similar to the shingles (Mission Brown) and for this reason I installed the almond. I was personally present inspecting that everything was ok from start to finish of the Roof Project. The day we finished the job I went up on the roof to inspect the roof and you were very happy with my work , you only mentioned to me a piece of about 4 feet of New Drip Edge that could be seen from the front of the house. I explained the reason was because there were only two colors (tan and almond) that would match the shingles and gutters and that I chose almond because it was the closest , you told

  Jose and his team were great at installing the TPO roofing on my flat roof. They offered a product with a 30 year warranty for a very reasonable price. Jose’s communication was awesome and I’d recommend them to anyone needing a TPO membrane roof.

  Jose was very responsive. Our roof has shingles and a big flat membrane area. They did a great job removing the old and replacing with new and within the timeframe he quoted. They did our rain gutters also, much better than what we had. Very reasonably priced. I have used him before on a rental home and I will use him again.
