  Had a terrible experience with this contractor. They were to tear down/rebuild garage and add an addition, do some drainage work and paint the new garage and house. They never pulled permits and the township made them vacate the property. Took two months for them to finish permits and get started. They never put in the footers under the cement pad addition per the requirements on the building permit. They rarely showed up to work and then usually 1 person would work for a few hours. When they finally got OSB sheets on the roof they never covered it so it has sat all winter and spring in the weather. Finally fired them and township insepctors have now reviewed the work and indicated all of the code violations. I would look elsewhere.

  We’re very sorry to hear that you feel this way and would like to provide some context. We were initially hired to repair siding on the garage. During the removal process, we discovered severe termite damage that made the garage structurally unsafe. We immediately informed the homeowner, and it was mutually agreed that a full rebuild was necessary. Given the imminent danger, we began the tear-down process while simultaneously applying for permits. Unfortunately, the township required us to pause work until the permits were fully approved, which took several weeks. Once approved, we resumed work promptly. Throughout construction, we worked consistently around challenging winter conditions, including a two-week stretch of extreme weather not seen in over 15 years. We communicated clearly that we would return as soon as weather conditions allowed, prioritizing both safety and project integrity. Just days before completing a key phase that connected the new garage to the existing home, we received a legal notice from the homeowner instructing us to stop all work and leave the property. We advised that halting work at that stage could cause issues, but the homeowner refused further access. As a result, the project could not be completed. This matter is currently part of an ongoing legal dispute, and we are confident that the full facts will come to light through the appropriate channels. We take pride in our work and always aim to meet both code and client expectations. We remain committed to professionalism and transparency in everything we do.

  Hired for a roofing job. Very prompt and knowledgeable! The crew was professional and worked efficiently. They did an excellent job with clean up! I look forward to working with them again on future projects. Would highly recommend!

  We had a fantastic experience with Haight n’ Sons after waking up to a leak following heavy rain. Dalton came the same day to look at the leak in the rain and assess the issue. He walked us through the problem, options for remediation, and pricing. He was back to fix it when promised, and the work looks great! We are always looking for local experts to add to our call list who are knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and deliver on their promises— Haight n’ Sons perfectly fits the bill! We absolutely recommend!! Editing to add our second experience! We recently worked with Haight ‘n’ Sons to convert a main floor bedroom into a laundry room! They rolled with all the challenges of working in a 1950s home and delivered a beautiful, functional space for us! We are delighted and continue to give them our highest recommendation!

  Haight N’Sons took on our flat porch roof that several contractors had declined to work on previously. Dalton was very knowledgeable in this type of roof and was not put off by a house built in 1885. His team came out quickly, had it finished in one day and we’re very thorough in their repair. They went the extra mile in sealing everything and Dalton guaranteed the work. We would definitely recommend them!

  Dalton and his crew were OUTSTANDING! Such an easy company to work with. I truly appreciate the time he spent to educate me on making a proper insurance claim and how he would answer any question I had about the process of a roof replacement.
