  Old siding was cracked and letting water in. These guys replaced the whole thing fast and now the house is sealed up right. No more leaks or wiring when it rains. Clean work and honest about what needed doing.

  had water getting in behind our old siding and it was only getting worse. knew we needed the whole thing done properly not a quick patch. complete replacements are their whole business which worked for us. they looked it over and gave it to us straight on the problem and the fix. the crew turned up and powered through the entire house fast. we chose james hardie and it looks solid now, no more soft spots or worrying about moisture. they also sorted our gutters while they were at it. house is tight and dry now, big relief after dealing with that mess for so long

  Got the whole house resided with Hardie board and the experience was about as smooth as a project this size can be. The estimator walked the house with me, pointed out a few things I hadn't noticed, and gave a written quote within a couple days. Install took a little over a week with a steady crew on site each morning. The finished look is sharper than I pictured and the trim work around the windows is clean. Glad I went with these folks instead of a general contractor.

  GSWR did a full siding replacement with James Hardie fiber cement in a tan shade we picked out. The thing I keep noticing is how straight everything is - the boards line up really well and you can't see gaps at the joints. They replaced the soffit panels along the front and back too because the old ones had turned that yellowish color that vinyl gets after a while. The window trim was something I was curious about since our windows have slightly different framing on the second floor, but they handled it and everything looks consistent. Going from vinyl to fiber cement is a pretty big visual difference. It just looks more finished now, and when you tap on it you can feel how much more solid it is.

  I called a few places for siding quotes in Crystal Lake but GSWR Siding was the most responsive by far. they came out the next day to measure and had an estimate to me by that evening. the work itself was high quality and they didn't leave any nails in my driveway which i appreciate
