  The project started strong, but quickly became frustrating and disappointing. I chose him because he seemed knowledgeable, included my patio, and promised to handle permits. After lowering the price from $26,700 to $23,000, I moved forward, but once work started, the cost went right back up to $26,300. The permit issue was not handled properly. I was told to go to City Hall myself, only to find out a permit already existed, something that should have been verified before the job began. There were several workmanship and cleanup issues: debris left in my garage, nails left behind that injured a dog I was caring for, damage to my patio ceiling, and improperly installed flashing with visible gaps and uneven sections. After two weeks, someone came to address the flashing, but was told it can't all be fix and the result looks patched together. Detached fascia was covered with caulking instead of being properly repaired, and I was advised to add gutters rather than fix the actual problem. The contractor was late, had limited availability to come look at the work, and I was left coordinating directly with workers who couldn't proceed without his approval. When he came by to review my concerns, he said the flashing can't be changed, denied responsibility for the fascia, and told me my complaints were personal. I hired him because I believed what he told me. For over $26,000, this is not acceptable. I would not recommend this contractor.
