  Rick, we are sorry this situation left you disappointed. We also want to clarify some important details about the product selection and what occurred during the project. Your original online request specifically asked for Armourshake Chalet Wood shingles. The signed agreement also identified IKO Armourshake, and Armourshake was confirmed again in writing before the project began. The IKO product was also discussed with you by our production team and an IKO representative. We do acknowledge that information learned during a previous repair about the existing Malarkey shingles was not communicated clearly enough between departments. When the difference was raised during installation, company leadership spoke with you directly and offered to stop the project to find solution. The price difference between the Class 3 and Class 4 options was reviewed and was minimal at your request. A discount was also offered. After discussing the options and your concern about a possible future claim, you stated that you were comfortable continuing with the contracted IKO Armourshake product. We understand your concern regarding insurance discounts and do not dismiss it. However, the installed product matched the signed agreement, and the option to stop to figure out solution was provided before the project was completed. We remain willing to review the documentation and discuss the matter with you directly.

  Fat Matt roofing replaced our roof in 2021. OK fist off the trim was a different color around the house than the trim around the garage. Took a little bit but it was fixed. First good rain the roof leaked and damaged the sheet rock in our Landry room and water was running down the wall. They said it was fixed but it was not. Second time Fat Matt came out said it was fixed but no it still leaked. More sheet rock damaged. I call and told them that to fix the leak they would have to put up flashing to detour the water and it worked. This has been a 3 year struggle. Last October 2024 and they have not fixed the sheet rock after many calls and them sending multiple people to look at it. Bad management and communication on Fat Matt's end. Good luck using this roofing company

  Daniel, thank you for your feedback. After completing a full warranty review, our team found that the interior ceiling concerns were not related to workmanship. You reached out to us on several occasions, and each time we responded and addressed the issues reported at that time. Your property has experienced multiple wind and hail events since 2021, including a microburst noted during your most recent call. These types of storm events fall outside of workmanship warranty coverage. While these items aren’t eligible for warranty coverage, we are happy to provide documentation if you choose to file an insurance claim based on these previous storms, which was also provided in the warranty review letter.   Never received the estimate from the guy that inspected our roof When we called and asked him to send it we were told that it had already been sent but would send again. Never received. Gave up after calling again with no answer and no call back as well as texting with no response. Pretty much just blew us off. Terrible customer service and way to do business. Would never recommend this company to anyone !

  Attempted for weeks to set just a simple appointment after making an home warranty claim and I continually got a promise for someone to call and set one which never happened. Was told to call back the next day and the next day and the next day. Then the person who books appointments was at the store or some other nonsense depending on the day and time I tried to call to just get an appointment. Just giving up, getting my warranty company to transfer my claim and moving on to a more professional company.

  Michael Fry inspected our roof for a couple interested in buying the house and exaggerated damage to force an insurance claim. He claimed the small area of granule loss was unrepairable and the whole roof needed replaced. FAT MATT SCAMMERS

It's important to note that we do not file or approve insurance claims, and ultimately it is the homeowner and the insurance company who decide whether a roof should be replaced. Our role is simply to support the claims process through thorough documentation, advocacy, photos, and industry expertise. Granular loss, like what you described, is important to address because granuals help to protect your roof from hail, debris, and UV exposure. When granular loss occurs, the shingles are more likely to be damaged, which can lead to leaks and other problems over the life of a roof.

  Do NOT use this business! I tried and tried to get them out to fix my roof but they just kept putting me off. I guess my job wasn't big enough for them. When I got another roofing company to come out, I found out this company was trying to overcharge me by double! This company will cheat you, if they bother to even come out to your house.

  I was initially really excited to use Fat Matt Roofing because I've always heard great things about them and what they do for the community. Initially the rep that was sent out sounded really excited about working with me, until he found out that my insurance was not going to be able to help. After that, he seemed really discouraged , his demeanor changed and then seemed very uninterested in continuing to work with me. He promised several times over the course of 2 weeks to get me a quote that I never received. I would've appreciated him being honest and telling me that he didn't want to deal with me instead of wasting 2 weeks of my time waiting on him to get me quote that he never intended on giving to me and basically just blowing me off. Currently, I am getting my roof redone out of my own pocket with another roofing company who didn't shun me for my insurance not being involved like the previous Fat Matt rep did. I would not recommend Fat Matt roofing unless your insurance is paying otherwise good luck getting them to respond back to you should you have to pay for your roof out of your own pocket.

  I was told by Fatt Matt that if I had my roof replaced by August 31, that wouldn't have to pay the down payment. COLTON promised me, he said that they were a Christian based company and that I would have to pay them. Boy oh boy is that a lie. I told Colton that I couldn't do it if I had to pay. But they are making me pay. They will get as much as I can afford each month till I get them paid off.

  Thanks Fat Matt Roofing for a quick and professional job done on our total roof replacement. The crew worked hard completing the job in a day and half, estimated at 2. The girls work hard cleaning up while the crew worked on the roof. First day they were here until 8:30 pm , dark, working hard. I have zero complaints. Everything in the yard that needed to be moved in order for them to work, was put back when the job was done. Very pleased with the service we received. Thank you to the crew at Fat Matt Roofing!   I can’t say enough about this company! From the day of inspection Jayden was by our side helping with insurance claims and answering the many questions we had about our roof damage. During the rain last weekend I notified him of water starting to come into the home and the next day he was out here temporarily fixing the roof to prevent more damage. Same day I get a call the contractors would be out in a couple of days to start the repairs. This was a fastest process thanks to Jayden and Clay and of course Fat Matt and his contractors! My new roof is beautiful ! Thank you guys so much!!!
