This project was overseen by the association’s engineering firm, who thoroughly reviewed all work and created an official punch list. We diligently addressed each item to ensure the project met the required standards. The images you’ve referenced appear to reflect findings from an outside consultant, whose observations may not have aligned with the engineering firm’s final review process. While we respect all perspectives, we followed the official punch list as designated by the engineering firm and completed the necessary corrections accordingly.   CSR Roofing Contractors, Inc. does not deserve one star after they replaced the roofs of eight out of nine buildings in our condominium community in Bloomingdale, IL, last year, which cost over $ 2 M. With the new roof replacement, some of the completed buildings already experience a water leak. Our HOA hired a Certified Roofing Inspector to check their completed roof replacement and concluded that CSR has done improper and careless roof installation practices. There were 162 pages of pictures showing all the faulty shingles/decking issues, flashing/siding connections issues, shingles/siding connections issues, etc. Homeowners of our community were devastated after all the financial burden we went through with the Roof replacement Special Assessments. Every homeowner in our community should file a consumer protection complaint against CSR Roofing Contractors, Inc. with the Illinois AG Office and IDPR. The attached pictures tell a thousand words about how the Certified Roofing Inspector concluded about CSR's improper and careless roof replacement installation practices. The question is why CSR has so many five-star reviews in the past two months, and how legitimate and honest those reviews are.

  Thank you for your feedback. We understand the concerns raised and take all input seriously, especially on large-scale projects such as this one. It’s important to note that the roof replacement was managed under the supervision of the association’s selected engineering firm, not CSR directly. That firm was responsible for evaluating the workmanship and issuing a formal punch list of required corrections. We worked closely with them to ensure every item was completed to their specifications and satisfaction. It appears that a separate third-party inspector provided a report. While we respect differing opinions, we stand by the work that was verified and approved through the appropriate project channels established by the HOA itself. We encourage any homeowner with ongoing questions or concerns to reach out to us directly so we can continue to address issues in a respectful and constructive way. Our goal is always to deliver quality service, follow proper procedures, and honor the trust placed in us.

  AS a decades long REALTO involved in residential and commercial real esate in Du Page and Kane County, I have long advised to be very, very careful when considering a roofing contractor. For thosereading this ...BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN CONSIDERING CSR ROOFING. They talk a big game and thats it. They were hired by my condo association in downtown Wheaton. The job was completed nearly a month later, inconviencing multil resident on a daiky basis. BE VERY CAUTIOUS!

  Hello Gregg You are absolutely correct; roof replacement projects are an inconvenience to the owners. Which is why we provide as much front-end information as we can to advise owners of the project duration and what to expect during the work. Please reference the Roof Construction Notice that we provided before project commencement. Which Indicates the expected inconveniences as well as the work duration, which was projected to take 10-12 weeks to complete. The project was very successful, and we completed it in just over 8 weeks, ahead of schedule. We provided regular schedule updates and also weather delay cancellations to the association. As a contractor that has been around for nearly half a century, we do understand the disruption that is caused with a roof replacement project, our team works very hard to try to meet the needs of all our customers to make the process as smooth as possible.   This is the last company I would call for a roof. Without notice from them or my management company my AC unit has been fully disconnected for the past 2 weeks. Calling the hot line I spoke to an extremely rude representative who was not helpful at all. No time frame for work completion and the contractors leave early every day.

  I have worked with CSR Roofing for many years and over the years we have done projects at various sized properties. They have completed roof projects, done roof maintenance and siding projects with CSR and they are a very responsive and do fabulous work! I would recommend them for any project.   I have worked with CSR for over 20 years. The company as a who is family owned and operated. I appreciate their reports and photos that provided, along with the proposal for the repairs. If I need more information The owner will even meet on site to explain everything thoroughly. They even show up to Board Meetings to explain the project thoroughly to the homeowners.
