Our cedar shake roof was getting up there in age and we'd been putting off dealing with it for a couple of years. A neighbor mentioned Chicagoland Cedar Shake Roofs and I figured it was worth getting an opinion. They came out and did an inspection, took photos, and explained what was happening with the shakes in terms I could actually follow. They recommended a full maintenance treatment rather than a replacement, which saved us a good amount of money. It took about a week between the initial visit and getting on the schedule, which felt reasonable for the time of year. The crew showed up on time and worked most of the day. I was working from home so I could see them being thorough up there, checking individual shakes and replacing a handful that were too far gone. The whole thing wrapped up in one day. What made the difference for me was that they never tried to upsell us on a full reroof when the existing one still had years left. That kind of honest assessment goes a long way when you're trusting someone with a big part of your house.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad we could help you avoid a full replacement and keep your cedar roof in good shape for years to come.
