  I paid $60,000 to Certified Roofing Specialists for a roof and solar installation. The work was completed, but the experience did not match the premium price. I was provided with a non English speaking crew, which made it hard to communicate important details. Because of this, I was never informed that my previously installed EV charger would create a solar permit issue. That oversight ended up costing me an additional $2,000. For a company charging at the higher end, I expected clear communication and a thorough review of existing electrical work. Instead, I was left paying for issues that should have been identified upfront. My advice to future customers: - Make sure they thoroughly review all prior electrical work done in your home. - Ask specifically about permit implications before signing. - Get clear confirmation on who will be onsite and whether they can communicate effectively with you. - Do not assume they will proactively flag electrical conflicts, you may be asked to pay for corrections later. The company is on the expensive side, and I accepted that cost in exchange for what I believed would be a smooth, well-communicated experience. Unfortunately, the communication breakdown and unexpected added costs did not justify the premium pricing. Proceed carefully and ask very detailed questions before committing.

  I've used CRS to replace the roof and install a solar system in the past. All went well with the installation and even referred them to my neighbor who ended up using CRS to replace the roof. In the past few weeks, contacted CRS to get a quote to add six panels to the existing system. It took two phone calls and three emails to get CRS to provide a quote. Once they did, I asked a few questions and discounts available for returning customers. CRS provided a discount for returning customers. However, it has been over a month and have not heard from CRS on next steps. Unfortunate way to treat returning customers. CRS, no need to respond to this review. Your employee, Kevin V. should have all the records regarding emails and phone calls. This is a fair and factual review and will also be posted in the BBB website.

  They were working on a house in our neighborhood and I asked the service guy for contact info. I called him asking for an appointment. I received a call back from the home office and set up the roof inspection in 7 days. The day of the appointment, total no show. Call the office, they say they have no record of my appointment. Guy asks for my number and say's, "I'll follow up with this and get back to you with what happened". No call back. I ended up calling back and got the same answer. Customer service is not up to par. Accidents happen, but don't say your going to do something after a mess up and not do it.

  This company did work on my roof in December of 2022 which involved installing new underlayment in one valley area of my roof where I was experiencing leaking that was damaging my facia below. The estimate also included the simple cosmetic repair with caulk of the damage to the facia. They didn't do a great job repairing the facia (sloppily slapped some caulk on it). I can't attest to the job they did with the underlayment as I've not been up there with the tiles removed to inspect it. Fast forward to Feb 23, I notice that the facia seems to show continued damage to a now larger area. I'm concerned that the leak might still be an issue. So, I call to schedule an appointment for them to come out and make sure the underlayment repair was done correctly. First, they tell me they can't make an appointment at this time, I'll need to call back the upcoming Friday. Okay, odd, but I do that. I set the appointment for the foreman to come back out on a Saturday 8-10. I wake up early and sit around waiting for the foreman but he never shows. So, I call the office and I'm told that he's not going to come out. They aren't even going to take a look at the repair to make sure it was done correctly. Period. That's it. I'm told my contract doesn't include any guarantees on the facia. I try to explain I'm concerned about the underlayment repair still leaking and that it states I have a 2 year warranty. Doesn't matter. I'm then given the phone number of a manager, Kevin. I call, no answer. So, that's where things stand to date. I hope this situation improves and I can change this review for the better.

  Hi Sherry, This review is inaccurate, as we only replaced two tiles for you. After your home inspection you called us to replace more broken tiles and reset your lose tiles on the entire section. That was not part of the original agreement. The work was done professionally and up to par to all roofing standards. The real reason for your review, is you wanted us to come back and do more work free of charge. We had informed you that the entire section needed to be relayed.

  I highly recommend David Schubert from certified roofing if you’re in need of a new roof! He helped me get my roofing done ASAP because my insurance company was pressuring me and threatening to cut me off. From the very beginning, David provided excellent customer service, was honest about his pricing, and made the entire process much less stressful. What impressed me most was that the finished roof looks even better than I expected, better than what he originally described to me! He delivered on everything he promised and made sure the job was done right.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After doing a lot of research, my wife and I decided to go with Certified Roofing Specialists, and we’re so glad we did. This was a major project that included a new roof, solar, siding, gutters, ventilation, and more, so choosing the right company was important to us. They exceeded our expectations every step of the way. They installed an Owens Corning Woodmoor roof in Carbon with the Total Protection Roofing System and Platinum Warranty, black seamless gutters, added soffit intake vents and a new ridge vent to improve our attic ventilation, installed Hardie Artisan shiplap siding on our chimney and gable, 20 solar panels with 2 batteries, panel upgrade, and even installed our Ring cameras. The finished product completely transformed our home. What really impressed me was how involved everyone was throughout the project. Joe, the owner, personally stopped by multiple times to check on the progress and make sure everything was running smoothly. That level of involvement says a lot about how much he cares about his customers and the quality of the work. Joel, our project manager, kept everything organized, made sure all the permits were taken care of, and delivered the project on time. Omar and Ashley were amazing to work with on the solar side. They handled all the back-and-forth with the utility company and took care of every little detail that comes with a solar and battery installation, making the whole process easy for us. You can tell this is a true family-owned company that genuinely cares about doing things the right way. Everyone was honest, professional, responsive, and took pride in their work. It’s hard to find a contractor you can trust with a project this big, but Certified Roofing Specialists earned ours. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for roofing, solar, or exterior home improvements. Five stars all the way!

  After receiving estimates from several C39 roofing contractors, we chose to hire Certified Roofing Specialist. I found them to be the most knowledgeable and trustworthy, especially when it came to explaining the step-by-step permit process.   Certified Roofing Specialists were great. David had a ton of knowledge and was quick to answer any questions. Omar, the foreman, was responsive and took lots of pictures during the reroof. The crew cleaned up at the end of each day. The roof looks great and we recommend CRS!

  We are so happy that we chose Certified Roofing Specialists for our new roof. Our new Presidential TL shingle roof looks beautiful! The entire process was smooth. We started with an initial inspection and quote from Leo, who was very attentive, he took the time to explain the process clearly and addressed all of our questions. They even tarped our roof on very short notice just before the rains arrived. Special thanks go to Pablo our project foreman, Ethan, and the entire crew for their professionalism and doing such a beautiful, quality job. Pablo was very attentive, he listened to all our concerns and was always respectful and considerate of our needs. He took the time to explain the problem areas as we had a lot of damaged wood, took pictures for me and went through repair options, always being fair and honest. He clearly takes pride in his work and works hard to ensure the best results for his customers. They were always on time, cleaned up thoroughly after each workday and completed the project in 5 days. After the project was completed we had minor concerns in the following days and the team took care of these promptly. We highly recommend them you will not regret it.

  Would 10/10 recommend Certified Roofing Specialist. They were able to come out and give me an estimate very soon after reaching out to them. David came out to do the inspection and gave us a quote that was fair and very competitive compared to other companies. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. The team came out to do the work and finished within two days. I communicated with Ethan throughout the process and he made a great effort to keep me updated with the progress frequently. He was also very professional and knowledgeable about the work to be done. He and Pablo were quick and efficient. Definitely an overall great experience.
