Skip has been coming to us for years to have his trailer serviced. He was in early June of this year, wrote a check for $89.20 and never endorsed the check. Here we are 6/18 and he has ghosted us. Not even a return call or test.

Dishonest and scammed me for several thousand dollars. Have to take them to court now. Get your roof & siding elsewhere so you are not the next victim.

This is Skip of Cape Cod Roofing and Siding responding. WHO ARE YOU IS THE FIRST QUESTION. The assumption, made by myself, is that you are a disgruntled SUB-CONTRACTOR that we did NOT hire because of; 1) failure to attend our multiple briefings in order to be vetted/made familiar with our expectations PRIOR TO HIRING with my/our professional standards which can be viewed within the thousands of photos online showing examples of our completed work throughout New England www.capecodroof.com , LINKEDIN, YOUTUBE, and FACEBOOK, 2) another "professional" using a fictitious name/email to ruin our reviews, and/or. 3) you have us mixed up with another using "CAPE COD". WHAT YOU ARE NOT is a CUSTOMER/CLIENT of Cape Cod Roofing and Siding since 1978. I/we are an easy individual/company to find, and, we are easily able to avail ourselves to any type of court proceeding whereby this "MARCO LUCERO" shows up in person possessing a valid license, passport, physical address and any paperwork (contract, invoice, photos, building permit, court papers and photographs) addressed, signed, and/or received by me with DUAL WRITTEN SIGNATURES of authorization proving/legitimizing my/our "relationship". You, "MARCO LUCERO", realize that I/we (Skip Schiappa/Cape Cod Roofing and Siding) control these Google reviews, and as such, that I/we can have your Google 1 STAR bogus review removed anytime I/we want. GONE... just like that! However, here's what I am going to do; 1) suggest that whomever reads this review of yours take a moment to look us up online at the platforms I mentioned here, 2) suggest that any perspective customer with an ounce of IQ rationalize our history of completed work throughout New England, Cape Cod, the islands and beyond since 1978 (45 yrs) versus your comments and intentions here, and 3) once any of the aforementioned do so... please forward to me/us any legitimate and confirmed physical address that you have so that I/we may send "Marco Lucero" a certified letter conta

I've had contractors show up at my door asking for partial payment since skip didn't pay them at all. I am very sorry I ever hired auch a dishonest man. I paid him for other mens work and he never paid them. Disgusting.

INTERESTING REVIEW: "I am being" who wrote this review was/is the parent of a child who played on my sons football team. I coached this child myself for years in the TRI-Town area. I was completely unaware of WHO WROTE THIS REVIEW FOR YEARS. Around 2023 it was mentioned to me who wrote this review. YES, I put the roof on their house. NO, there were never any complaints about our work to this day. YES, one of our longstanding, well vetted, very professional SUB CONTRACTOR did this project. YES, he was paid in full. Here where it goes "south": Apparently all is well... job is completed, I thoroughly inspected and paid the SUB-CONTRACTOR. However, the "SUB" never paid one of his workers. That worker had NO access to me (language issue included), nor, had any idea where to find me. He did however know where the job was. The story goes that said worker went back and knocked on homeowner's door. Told homeowner that he did the roof. Told owner Skip never pay him instead of his boss not paying him. Homeowner "supposedly" paid him $6,000.00 AFTER paying me $6,000.00 (I think BOTH AMOUNTS ARE FAR HIGHER BUT IT'S BEEN AWHILE). Owner just gave him a check for $6,000.00. NEVER CALLED ME...NEVER POINTED THE FINGER AT ME... just paid the $6,000.00 and ran here to post a 1 star review. HUhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ? NOTE: The owner never called me, took us to court and never mentioned it to me the remaining years our kids played together. TRANSPARENCY: YEARS LATER- I do remember a call from the local PD who responded to a worker not being paid but no other information was provided... and, NO FOLLOW-UP call, visit or mail certified or not ever came to me. FILE UNDER: "WHO PAYS ANOTHER $6,000.00 to a random person at the door WITHOUT making numerous MAD CALLS OF INQUIRY PRIOR? ... nobody I knew/know.

YES, the business asked me to post a review on both Google and YELP. I own a home in central Massachusetts and like everyone else I needed a roof. My talking points were experience, availability, explanation of what my possible options would be and of course cost per option. My due diligence had me get multiple estimates. Summary, all estimates were "in the ballpark" as they say. What led me to choose Cape Cod Roofing and Siding was simply Skip himself. Given all the products and services were a constant to all involved I concluded, Skip simply came across as someone who truly was dedicated to his trade. His answers to my questions were no "BS". Quite frankly, as he stated, "he looked at every job as if it were his own property and what would he do if he were I". I can not ask for more than that. The man is genuine to a fault. I remember that I wanted a certain product and he blatantly told me that I should probably get someone else. It was not rude, it was direct. All in all, my $9,000.00 was well spent 11 years ago. Since then, I have spent about $341,000.00 with his company since on my commercial buildings. I had an issue with one of his roofs. Leaking like a sieve. Skip made a 2 hour ride within hours to resolve the problem caused by animals. Charged me service call that was more than reasonable. The man has not failed me yet. I finally got around to responding to his request for a review. btw: I have read the reviews here and other places. Besides the obvious personal attacks and moronic comments about nothing, I see my opinion of Skip and his company mirroring the majority of what I wrote.

Thank you Nancy for the kind words. RE: fear mongering by the media, TV on behalf of insurance agents/carriers and the like trying get HOMEOWNERS/BUILDING OWNERS to spend their money on "preventative maintenance" (removing snow/ice dams) that is mostly NOT necessary so that they may FIND A WAY to limit or deny a future claim... in my mind, is outrageous behavior... deceptive actually as it flies in the face of established building codes, professional integrity of contractors and, in most cases promotes taking monetary advantage of unsuspecting, unknowing already frightened individuals who think their house will implode, flood and in some other way be beyond reasonable repair. YES. there are certain structures like FLAT roofs, under certain circumstances that are vulnerable to load... BUT CERTAINLY NOT STATISTICALLY IN NEED COMPARED TO THOSE SEEKING HONEST ANSWERS to THIER CONCERNS... we live in New England... WINTER, snow, ice and rain are part of our daily lives. Our BUILDING CODES, inspections thereof and reputable contractors all prevent, for the most part, fear becoming a reality. www.CAPECODROOF.com promotes "good" business/honest business for over 45 years. I believe most of the contractors I know, do so as well. The HEAVY SNOW fell about two weeks ago, mostly still present and has been added to a couple of times. A drive down any street exhibits ICE DAMS and HEAVY ICICLES on every building, most of which is causing NO HARM... we are weeks down the road and my advice worked for you as NOTHING has happened to the detriment of your home with respect to the roof. Again, thank you for your kind words. Skip

I met with Skip the owner, promptly, after he came by my home on a Sunday, took photos of my roof. Skip was very clear, knowledgeable, took the time ( and patience) to explain the roof damage, what needed to be done, and what DID NOT need to be done. There was no upsell attempt whatsoever. He had me scheduled within a few weeks, had his workers at my home evey day, weather permitting. At the beginning of each day Skip was at my home, giving instruction to his workers step by step, what he wanted to be done, the goal of each day. When the project was finished, Skip took many photographs and ensured that his workers left my property grounds/landscape the way it was before the project began. My warranty is for life. I highly recommend his company, thank you Skip!

Had a 10/10 experience with Skip and Cape Cod Roofing & Siding. Needed to have my roof replaced with 3 weeks' notice otherwise my insurance policy would be cancelled. Skip got the job done in time and his team did a fantastic job with the work itself. Couldn't be happier with how everything went!

Very pleased with the entire roof experience! Skip answered the phone and took time to chat about our issues. He was at a roofing convention and said he would be back next week and would stop by and have a look at our small rubber roof that needed replacing. He texted me the next week after he had a look at the roof. Then emailed me an estimate and a contract. We moved forward pretty quickly- Skip called and said his team would be in town and could be at our house first thing. Nice crew showed up and done! Skip called and we discussed the job a bit, he said to call him any time if we have any issues or questions. He shared info on a roof lichen/moss issue that we are dealing with – he shared helpful information. Pleasant guy, only problem is he didn’t have more time to chit chat! Very appreciative for this man and his service!

I cannot recommend Cape Cod Roofing and Siding highly enough. Skip Schiappa, the owner, responded to my request for a quote immediately, and he answered my questions and was responsive throughout the process. He and his team did a great job with the roof -- it looks great -- and the company's service was first rate. I would strongly recommend Cape Cod Roofing and Siding to anyone in need of a new roof.

David, your mother hired me almost forty years ago for the 1st roof on that house... I was 18 yrs old-ish. She had faith in me. The roof lasted 40-ish years. I'm shocked, that by sheer luck that you had called me to do it again not knowing the prior fact. It was my pleasure to do that roof again in the same manner of professionalism as the first. I guess time is catching up with me, as I appreciate, that you appreciate, basic good service... something that is rarely provided nor acknowledged these days. I thank you for your kind words. My best to your family, Skip

Hello Ms. Hayes, Thank you for your kind words. Once I remember the instructions of my webmaster, I will upload all the recent projects (2015-now) including yours. Our FACEBOOK (Cape Cod Roofing & Siding) proudly displays your project. Additionally, I would like to thank you for PART 1) which appears Google took down as I believe you can only post 1 review. So, with your permission, here is your PART 1) from the email you sent me. "I generally do not write reviews, nor do I make it a habit of seeking out reviews before I go eat somewhere, hire someone or travel. I believe that I am a great judge of that which I seek. If not, oh well, I have experiences to learn from. On some occasions, my "gut" feeling was wrong both good/bad. What I refuse to do is run back home & tattletale on anything or anyone. I will live my life through my experiences, not those of others. Case in point, I recently decided to add on to my house. I am going to start by contacting the company that remodeled my entire exterior years back, Cape Cod Roofing and Siding, Wareham, MA. I live on Cape, after meeting with many local contractors I chose this one. Why? Because when you know, you know. BTW, I found by chance online off Cape. I called, a man named Skip answered, we met. Truthfully, his ideas for my home as a single mother seemed out of reach for my budget. My concern was validated when I perused his enormous website. His work is fabulous no matter what page of his site. There were homes like mine & far beyond. All stunning & overwhelming actually. A few days went by & I received a quote from Skip. I asked him to meet again & go over the estimate. He showed up, answered my questions & then he said this: "you know, that is not an estimate, that is a fixed price quotation". Feeling not so informed, not knowing, I asked, what's the difference? Skip said, "professionals with vast amounts of knowledge & experience provide fixed cost quotations, not guess-ta-mates" as he explained. He went on to
