Our experience with Bo-Lacy started on a very positive note. Luke, the representative who came to our home to provide the estimate and complete the paperwork, was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He explained that someone would contact us within a week to schedule a meeting with the project manager. Unfortunately, that level of professionalism did not continue. After two weeks without hearing from anyone, I called the office and left a voicemail. A few days later, I called again and left another message. Instead of returning my calls, Brook eventually contacted me by text. After multiple unanswered phone calls, this did not feel like a professional way to begin the project. We were then assigned a project manager, Houston, and this is where our experience significantly declined. He told us that texting was the best way to communicate, but our messages were frequently left on "read" for several days before receiving a response. When he did reply, many of his answers were simply, "I'm not sure." Throughout the project, there was very little communication. We were never informed when materials would be delivered, when work would begin, or what to expect throughout the process. Despite being the project manager, Houston never came to our home to oversee the work. When asked about the delayed responses, he explained that he was working alongside his crew. However, he never appeared at our property during the project, making that explanation difficult to understand. The installation crew also left our property in poor condition at the end of each workday. Hundreds of nails were left scattered throughout our driveway, lawn, and even in our neighbor's yard. I had to spend time walking around the property to pick them up myself, which was both frustrating and concerning from a safety standpoint. After these ongoing issues, we contacted the main office several times to express our concerns. Each time, we were told someone would return our call, but we never receiv

Thank you for taking the time to share this. I’m very sorry that your experience did not match the standard we expect at Bo Lacey Construction. I’m glad to hear Luke made a positive first impression, but the communication issues that followed, the lack of follow-up, and the cleanup concerns you described are not acceptable. A siding project should feel organized, professional, and well-managed from start to finish, and based on what you shared, we fell short. I also want to sincerely apologize for the nails left around your property and your neighbor’s yard. That is a safety issue, and it should have been handled by our team before leaving the jobsite. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly, review what happened, and see what we can do to make this right. Please contact our office and ask for Kevin, or send us a message with the best number to reach you. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We take feedback like this seriously and will be addressing it internally with our team.

Tyler, thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the experience you and your wife had throughout this project. What you described is not the level of workmanship, communication, or professionalism we strive to provide, especially for a first project in your new home. There is no excuse for the condition the original installation was left in, nor for the frustration and delays that followed while trying to get everything corrected. We completely understand how disappointing and stressful that must have been, especially after placing your trust in us and investing a significant amount into your home. We do appreciate you recognizing Eric and Jacob for the work they completed to finally make things right. We will absolutely be sharing your feedback with them, as well as using the concerns you outlined as a coaching opportunity internally. While we are glad the final result met expectations, we understand that it should never have taken multiple visits and nearly a month to get there. Your feedback regarding communication, scheduling, cleanup, and the overall handling of the situation is being taken seriously by our leadership team. We know apologies alone do not undo the inconvenience you experienced, but we truly appreciate you giving us the opportunity to correct the work rather than walking away from the project entirely. Thank you again for the honest feedback and for acknowledging the team members who helped turn the situation around in the end. If you would be open to it, we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly about your experience. Please feel free to contact our office and ask for our management team.

Our door hinges are broke. They fixed them once....now I am told oh sorry your doors are only covered for workmanship. When asked if that is the case why did they fix it to begin with to make it right with me. This guy tells me they no longer make the doors I have because of these hinges but I can can go buy new doors and they will put them on for me at no charge. Well what was the lifetime warranty for? I was told if a kid brakes a window with a ball its covered. He says yes it is because that's a manufacturer defect.....okay so what is the door issue???? I do not recommend bo lacy they DO NOT stand behind what they tell you in the beginning.
Reply from the business
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your frustration and understand why this situation has been disappointing. Our goal has always been to stand behind our work and help our customers whenever possible. In your case, although the hinge issue was not related to our workmanship warranty, we previously made repairs in an effort to help and provide a positive resolution. Unfortunately, the door manufacturer no longer produces the specific components needed for your door system, which has limited the available options. While the issue falls outside the scope of our workmanship warranty, we offered to install replacement doors at no labor cost to help reduce the burden and find a path forward. We understand that this may not have been the outcome you were hoping for, but it was offered in good faith as a way to assist despite the circumstances. We value every customer relationship and never want anyone to feel unheard. If you would like to discuss the situation further, we welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly and review any remaining concerns.

I’m sure this company does great work, but I’m glad I got a few quotes because they were SIGNIFICANTLY higher compared to others by thousands of dollars. They were pushy and made me sit through an awkward and long presentation before they’d even tell me the cost. They were quite pushy with financing and trying to add on other work that I didn’t request, I had to say no 4-5 times before they took it as an answer. I ended up going with Kennedy Construction for a new roof and it was 40% less than what Bo Lacey had quoted me (and no presentation to sit through). Again, I’m sure they do nice work but be prepared to pay a massive premium.

From the initial contact about replacing a sliding door that I first reached out to my home owners insurance about (it was covered). Called to schedule an estimate and was told No way my insurance would cover it. Bo Lacey came out my husband asked multiple times for Bo Lacey to take pictures of the door for the insurance purposes, again told it is not covered and they didn't need them. It was approved with insurance and moved forward with scheduling the project, however before submitting paperwork they contacted me to take said previously stated pictures. Projected 8-10 weeks for the door to be built and install. Only communication I received was a single email until I reached out to them. apparently they didn't send the email correctly .... oops. fast forward took over 12 weeks to get the door in. They installed the door. On the second day of work. I came home after lunch to the smell of weed throughout the house. the practice manager didn't walk us through how to lock our door or give us keys to the door. Shattered glass all over in our fenced back yard with the dogs after specifically going over my concern about the glass due to the door and my dogs safey. Over priced door... and gaps/not straight cuts in the wood flooring they fixed.

I cannot begin to explain the honesty and professionalism of this company. My house is 100 yrs old and needed a complete facelift ! From Brandon and Chase putting all my windows in and rebuilding an exterior kitchen wall to Manual and Elmer doing my tear off , insulation and siding and all the pop out window and door flashing , 2 of the hardest working guys I’ve ever met. And then my project manager, Shaun !! Unbelievably professional and personable who seen my project through from start to finish !! Amazing attention to detail with everything! Thank you so much Bo Lacey Construction. I will 10 star and recommend you to family and friends and to all I come across! This Army combat Veteran appreciates you !!! Also let me not forgot Jeremiah who sat at my kitchen table and was straight and honest with me and my family about the whole project! Thank you !!

Overall, I’m happy with the roof Bo Lacey Construction installed on my home. The finished roof looks great, and I feel they did quality work. The crew was polite, respectful, and professional throughout the project. The project manager was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. My roof was completed over six days because they were fitting us in due to an active leak with a smaller crew (4 weeks out on a full crew) which I appreciated. My only suggestion would be to improve communication during longer projects. There were several days when I didn’t receive an update on the progress, and a quick end-of-day update would have gone a long way in keeping me informed. My other area for improvement is the cleanup. The daily cleanup could have been better, and after the final cleanup there was still some trash left around the property that I had to pick up. Overall, I would recommend Bo Lacey Construction. They delivered a good-looking roof, the workmanship appears solid, and everyone I dealt with was courteous and professional. With a little more attention to communication and cleanup, the experience would have easily been a five-star one.

Hi Jerad, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We are thrilled to hear that you are happy with the quality and look of your new roof, and that our team was courteous and professional throughout the process. We were glad we could adjust our schedule to fit you in quickly to address that active leak. We also sincerely appreciate your constructive feedback regarding our communication and cleanup. While we wanted to get your project moving as fast as possible with the smaller crew, we understand that a quick daily update would have given you better peace of mind, and we apologize for falling short on the final property cleanup. We are sharing your review with our team to ensure we improve our daily communication and post-job cleanups on longer projects. Thank you again for recommending Bo Lacey Construction, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything else! Best regards, The Bo Lacey Construction Team

We recently had Ascend vinyl siding installed on our home and overall are happy with the quality of the finished product. The siding itself looks great, and the employees working on-site were professional, hardworking, and pleasant to interact with throughout the project. Communication was also generally easy, as the company was responsive when we had questions or concerns. That said, there were several frustrations during the process. The biggest issue was the turnover in project managers — we had three different project managers over the course of our siding project, which created inconsistency and confusion. Along with that came difficulty getting accurate estimates, as each project manager provided different pricing and figures. The overall cost was also on the higher side compared to what we initially expected. In the end, the craftsmanship and final appearance of the siding were excellent, but the project management and estimating process could definitely be improved for a smoother customer experience.

Emily, thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for choosing Bo Lacey Construction for your Ascend siding project. We're thrilled to hear that you're happy with the final result and that the quality of the siding, craftsmanship, and professionalism of our installation team met your expectations. We take great pride in delivering beautiful finished projects, and it's wonderful to know that shows in your home's transformation. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the project management and estimating process. We understand how frustrating it can be to work with multiple project managers throughout a project, and we recognize the confusion that can arise when communication and pricing expectations are not as consistent as they should be. Your feedback is valuable and helps us identify opportunities to improve our customer experience moving forward. Thank you again for trusting us with your home and for recognizing the hard work of our team. We hope you enjoy your new siding for many years to come, and if there's ever anything we can assist you with in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out.
