Colin from this company failed to show up numerous days after assuring me he would be by to give me an estimate. Wasn't even decent enough to call and give me a reason for not coming. Very poor behavior.

We hired ACL to install a metal roof. The roof and materials were dropped off in our yard in the second week in April 2023. We spent the next 4 months getting the run around about when they’d actually be coming to put the roof on the house. We were continually told they’d be here in two weeks. After Colin admitted to my husband that his guys just didn’t want to do it and were afraid of the (very average) pitch of our roof, a crew of four finally showed up on August 10th and started working on a first floor sunroom. The next day, Colin arrived with one other person and said the others had all quit at the end of the day so it was just the two of them. They (and ultimately one or two others) spent 3 more days working on the sunroom. And then didn’t come back. Another 6+ weeks go by before new guys show up and they spent 2 full days working on a very small first floor addition before being fired by Colin for working too slowly. And that’s the entirety of the work they completed. We ended up hiring an amazing two-man crew from Halifax to do the main roof and complete the job, and they did so in two days - and also found time to fix the sunroom because there were pieces not properly secured. The whole process was extremely frustrating. We have aluminum siding so we were expecting some damage where the roof met the house but it’s completely mangled and now will likely have to be replaced. That, along with having to reseed/sod our lawn where the roof sat untouched for more than 6 months, is a wholly unacceptable consequence of ACL not being prepared to install metal roofing. On top of all of this, despite asking multiple times since October (it’s now almost February), Colin has refused to give us an itemized breakdown of costs. We have no idea how much of the money we’d given them upfront was actually spent on our home and can only assume at this point that we are owed money they don’t want to refund. In the end I can’t attest to their skill or service when it comes to s

Colin really knows his stuff! Fast service from looking for a quote to the completion of the job. His crew worked hard all day and they were on time and hardly took a break. The site was cleaned and tidied up when they were finished. I would recommend ACL for any job.

Colin and his team re-shingled three roofs on our property. The quote was competitive and the work he and his crew did is excellent. They were fast and professional and all three were done in less than a week. We were so impressed with the results we hired ACL to come back to do our main house. We highly recommend them.

I recently had my roof done by Colin and his crew. It was not an easy job in that it was on the second storey with a steep pitch. There were up to five workers on the job at times, and they had a good organization to do things in a safe and orderly manner. I added a large skylight and they were able to come up with a good plan to add the needed flashing. They were meticulous in cleaning up after themselves. I am really pleased with the outcome.

Huge thanks to Colin and his crew of ACL Roofing. Colin was super helpful and made sure I knew what my options were throughout the process. They arrived early, worked late, and got the job done faster than I expected. My property was left just as clean when they were finished the roof, which I really appreciated. I’m already booked in for my next project!
