  Had my roof replaced by A1 when my hoa took it upon themselves to force us to have it done and increased our monthly hoa bill. My roof had nothing wrong with it! This past winter my roof leaked heavily and I was told it would be repaired by A1 EP Eland my hoa will fix the interior damage, it's 3 months later and there is no resolution in site. The site supervisor from A1 Thomas Bryer came to my home to assess the damage and I explained to him that I have 29 years of all aspects of home improvements and pointed out that his employees never removed any siding to replace the step flashing and add a layer of ice and water shield. He agreed with me and said a resolution will be determined in the next few weeks, its been three months now. There are at least 20 units that I know about that are having water issues and probably more.

  Joe, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We know this has been frustrating, and we take your feedback seriously. The scope of work for this project was defined and approved by the HOA board, and all roofing work was completed in accordance with that approved scope and GAF manufacturer specifications. As with any HOA-managed project, the board determines the extent of work to be completed throughout the community, and any work beyond the approved scope, such as siding or wall flashing, requires additional board authorization before we can proceed. If an approval is received, we are ready to move forward. This past winter brought significant and sustained snowfall in the region. Under those conditions, ice damming can occur even on properly installed roof systems. To ensure full transparency and due diligence, we facilitated a direct inspection by the roof manufacturer. Their findings confirmed that the roofing was installed as intended, in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines and the applicable building code. We remain in communication with the HOA and are committed to supporting whatever next steps they authorize. We encourage you to continue working directly with your HOA, as they are the decision-making authority for the scope and timeline of any additional work. — The A1 Team

  A 1 Roofing confirmed a date and time to fix our roof but never showed up. They never called or sent a text to reschedule. Nothing. Now it’s going to storm and our attic will be drenched.

  Shocking experience following neighbour using A1 Roofing Rotherham. No health and safety followed which resulted in my car being damaged. Lots of apologies and promises of repairs being paid for but guess what .... despite photo and video evidence I have had no responses to my messages. Disgusting behaviour!

We are based in Long Island and we only complete new roof installations. We do not do roof repair work and we do not do interior repairs.   First, thank you for your service. We are sorry to hear about your negative experience. As mentioned, when we spoke this morning, we have no record of your information in our system. Being that you were unable to provide the name of the person you spoke with our options were limited to address your concern. There could have been a mix-up with companies, as you mentioned you are expecting several other companies today for a quote. To mitigate any inconvenience this would cause you, we were able to move appointments around and have someone on site today between 11:00-1:00, which unfortunately didn’t work for your schedule. As mentioned in the review, that is correct, we do not provide estimates on weekends. We value our customers and given the opportunity to provide a quote, we’re certain we can provide a positive experience.

  Excellent experience from beginning to end. Patrick provided all details of the job with an estimate that was very clear and complete. Tommy, site supervisor, made sure everything was completed as promised. He communicated with me throughout the day. At the end of the day, everything was cleaned up. I felt I got a fare price and would highly recommend them. Very easy to work with everyone I encountered, including Hannah who I made arrangements with over the phone. Nice to deal with a company and have a nice experience

  1. Initial site review, discussions of special conditions, and digital assessment of surfaces and quantities was in depth and thorough. 2. The proposal provided was detailed and optional components, were easily differentiated in both description and cost. 3. Provision of access to observe their team in action ultimately convinced me to select A1 Roofing. 4. Coordination with the A1 office with regard to final measurements and scheduling was courteous and smooth. 5. Demolition of existing roof and installation was Well, planned and prepared. The full team arrived prior to 7 AM with the supply truck and hoist on site within a couple hours. Coordination among the team was excellent resulting in full demolition of nearly 18 different Roof facets Within four hours. 6. Detail to Inspection of the base wood sheathing, and installation of the waterproofing sub layers was meticulously provided. Installation of the finish shingles was undertaken with an exceptional rhythm to achieve a perfect final product. 7. Services provided included replacement skylights with close attention to superior waterproofing of the perimeter and installation of owner provided Professional roof anchors for future servicing of the 12 on 12 roof pitch. Gutter and gutter guards were also installed. 8. Adjustment of services during installation work was welcomed and easily achieved with added components as requested by owner. 9. Last and perhaps most impressionable was the attention to cleanup. Full Removal of all debris and replacement of miscellaneous flower, pots and And landscaping components Was undertaken. And perhaps most notable, for people who have had significant building related at work completed, the full perimeter of the house was carefully checked with roller, mounted and handheld magnets to minimize the potential for any stray nails and fasteners to cause injury. As a professional engineer who has engaged with many façade contractors, A1 Roofing rates a 10+ on a scale of one to 10.
