Had true north recommended to us, had them come out at the end of the year to do shingle replacement as well as the eaves. When dealing with them, they refused to call me back when i had questions as to when the work will start, told them that I had dogs so i needed to know when they will be here so I can secure the dogs as they would get in the way, they continued to call my husband who worked out of town at the time and i would continue to call them without having them call me back.During the winter we noticed the eaves were leaking, we called and were told they were closed for the year and to call back in spring or send an email. I called at the beginning of May of this year told them of the situation of eaves leaking at the corners and nails left on the roof and damage to siding and I was told that someone would come out and that he will call me back. I have waited until almost the end of the month and have yet to receive a call. I have asked my husband to call and we still have not received a call back. This is not what we would expect from a reputable company.

Hi Trudy, please accept my sincere apologies about your experience, and for the time it took to make it right.. In order to fix the issue correctly, we had to wait until the weather warmed up, but we did not do a good enough job of explain the process to you, and that is our fault. After this issue, we have made changes to our communication checklist to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Thank you for your understanding as we worked to fix our mistake. If you ever have any further concerns, please don’t hesitate to call me on my personal cell. I will follow up with you this spring to make sure you are still satisfied with the finished project.

Back in 2015 we hired True North Exteriors to replace our 30-year-old shingles. This new company provided a modest quote and lived by it, installing high-end product on our large complex roof in a single day. Apart from how quietly they worked, a thing that really impressed us was the care taken to comb through our gardens and lawn at the end of the day for any errant nails and debris that may have fallen. Ten years on (2025) we were hit by a downblast that tore away a 4-foot strip of cap shingles along the highest ridge of our roof. We contacted True North (owner Yan) and within days two of True North’s experienced staff arrived fully-prepared to fix the problem with replacement shingles of the same rare type, precut to form a new cap strip, all again at a very reasonable price. In our opinion, True North is true craftsmanship and true service.

This company demonstrated how 5-star customer service should and did happen. The high winds we had on Saturday night, May 31, 2025, blew shingles off my roof. I called True North Sunday morning, and a few hours later, an assessment was …

I had a significant amount of work done (new roof, siding, gutters, soffit) and several years later had some minor repairs to be done. I called and they sent someone out RIGHT AWAY to take care of it! I was so impressed with their quick response, professionalism and customer service. Highly Recommend!!!

Had True North Install 3 intake vents for our attic. Did the job on time, and at an amazing price. Had Mike and a couple of his guys back today as I had a concern about one of the vents (my problem, not theirs!), they pulled the whole thing out, replaced, and checked it over, assuring me it was good as gold. That is customer service - "if you are concerned, we will take care of it for you so you have no concerns". Thanks Mike and True North. I will be reaching out to you when the time comes for my new roof!

True North replace the shingles, it took one day and when they left my yard was clean and nail free. The salesman Michael was respectful of my time and knew his stuff. My roof is only a year old but it looks fantastic. Thank you True North Exteriors.

I needed the roof done on 2 bungalows. When I was discussing the job with companies, True North was serious about wanting the work. They were not aggressive or in any way unpleasant, but they were attentive and thorough in feeding back to me what they'd do and what they'd use and why, etc. They did the job exactly as they said. They subcontracted out the eaves troughs but those guys were good, too. True North had already briefed them on a few custom things I needed and they confirmed with me and did a good job of everything. I noticed an issue about a month later where 2 downspout pieces had become disconnected. I called True North who put their contractor in touch with me. I said it wasn't an emergency but would be nice to get it out of the way within the next couple of weeks. It was done within a week and both the contractor and True North called me to confirm. The reason only 4 starts is that the site clean up was not perfect. It was pretty good, though, so nothing to worry about. I'd have given 4.5 stars if it was an option. Based on my experience, I am pleased to recommend True North Exteriors.

TRUE NORTH EXTERIORS recently replaced the shingles on our house & garage. Their workmanship far exceeded our expectations. The workers where polite, conscientious, efficient and conducted an impressive cleaned up. We where as well extremely impressed with sales/manager Mathieu Chausse' who explained any questions we had and over saw the job from start to finish. It's employees like this that enhance True North Exteriors reputation. Their price was competitive. We would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in replacing their shingles.
