  Very bay service

Leaving a bad review for a company that you never hired, got an estimate or met seems shady. This guy works for a business that we did not agree with or do work for.

When I called for an estimate I told them that it was a small job that I needed help with. I was told "That is not a problem, we are happy to come out for an estimate and take a look." To start they were at least a half hour late for the estimate. It was to the point I had to call to see if they were still coming. Once he showed up for the estimate you could tell he was visibly upset that they were even there to do the estimate. I told him that I stated from the beginning it was a small job and he said "It really is a small job" Told me then that he would get me an estimate and could get me on the schedule in about a week or two. Then went to his truck and couldn't have left fast enough. I haven't heard a word since, I have called and left a message for a call back twice. I get if the job is too small for your business, but you could have told me that. The reviews on them are not wrong, better make sure you are worth their time or they will ghost you.

Sorry Jamie, during covid we had few guys working and I was honest it was going to be 2 weeks at least for your small repair. Your house was new, and the builder you had should have did this work, but you said they were not showing, so we … More

I was checking online reviews for a roofing contractor, i was about to contact tri city for an estimate until I seen owner responses to unsatisfied customers. I quickly moved on to the next company.

Came to give an estimate on a basic repair to which i agreed on the spot, donald said they would call me back to schedule the job which never happened, so i called and the best the receptionist could say is "the roofer will call you back" which again never happened. What a waste of time, you guys costed me work hours i had to call off. The have multiple locations so reviews are scattered

Sorry for the misunderstanding. We do work in Detroit but only up to Southfield freeway. We are a small family business and only have so many sales reps. and crews. We do not service the downtown area or the east side of Detroit.

Don and his crew did a fabulous job on our 1930’s garage. The garage still had the original cedar shake and two layers of shingles. The crew stripped all of it and did a great job of keeping the mess contained and hauled away. We highly recommend Trinity Builders.

Thank you, Donna, for the amazing review and for trusting Tri City Builders with your Canton, Michigan garage roofing project. Removing the original cedar shake roof along with two layers of old shingles on a 1930’s garage takes extra care and experience, and we’re proud our crew delivered a clean, professional roof replacement from start to finish. Our team works hard to keep every roofing project organized, protected, and cleaned up properly throughout the process, especially on full tear-offs like this one. We truly appreciate your recommendation and the opportunity to help protect and restore another home in Canton and the surrounding Southeast Michigan area. Thank you again for choosing Tri City Builders!

UPDATE (4/18/26): I’d written a positive review two years ago, when this company installed a new roof and gutters, and I recently had a follow up interaction that was equally positive, so I wanted to include that in my review. I’d contacted Don a few days ago about coming out to check the roof and gutters, as it had been a rough winter and I had some questions about some large icicles that had formed during that time. He responded right away and scheduled a time to stop by. He checked the roof and gutters, and took photos to show me that everything was still in great shape. He explained why the icicles may have been larger than usual (which had nothing to do with their work), and provided a suggestion for next winter to help the situation if it arises again. It’s so great to work with a company that stands behind what they do and provides such excellent and timely follow up. Thank you, Don! Initial post from 2024: Tri City Builders recently replaced our roof and gutters, and it was a very positive experience from start to finish. My previous roof replacement was very poorly done, so I had a lot of questions for Don (the owner) when he came out for the estimate. He very patiently answered all of my questions--both that day and during follow up emails. Don assured me that his company and his workers would do right by me, and they did. On roofing installation day, they stayed on the job all throughout the day and into the evening, as the weather forecast had changed and Don wanted to make sure that the roof was finished before the rain came. The gutter replacement was also completed in a timely and professional manner. Don stopped by several times throughout the process, and he checked in before I gave him my final payment to make sure it had been thoroughly cleaned up, which it had! I also received several photos of the completed roof, so that I could get a better view of what the roof looked like beyond what I could see from the ground. The new roof and gutt

I have been a costumer for 20+ years. They installed 2 roofs; one in 2001 & the other in 2025. They also installed siding, gutters, poured a cement driveway and patio. Always on time, friendly, excellent workmanship, reasonable pricing. I highly recommend.
