I completed a brick painting job under a verbal agreement. After the work was completed, payment terms repeatedly changed — first cash, then check, and later a request for my W-9 and banking information, without payment being issued. There were also inconsistencies regarding materials and billing, which caused further delays and confusion. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this professionally, payment has not been made. At this point, I will be proceeding through the proper legal channels to recover payment for services rendered. This review is posted to document my experience and to help prevent other hardworking contractors from being placed in a similar situation. The name this guy is Donnell

Mr. Avalos, you were not a good fit for our company. Without completing the job, you demanded payment from us. You refused to return to complete your scope of work, so payment was withheld until you returned to complete your job. Unfortunately, you refused & we hired another painting contractor to complete the painting & touch ups that you refused to. Our clients are more than satisfied, & under Texas Property Code & Homestead Exemption, their real property will be exempt from your fraudulent claims. After partially completing the project, you demand payment & attempt to circumvent us as prime general contractor on the job. This was done by going directly to the property owners to be compensated, which they refused based on your poor performance. This is a classic case of poor performance & highly unprofessional business dealings.

We used them for a large patio covering & an in ground pool. They were the only contractor who mentioned involving a structural engineer to design the roof. It came together beautifully will be recommending to family !

We worked with Donnell with Texan Pride Builders, they built us an amazing pool & outdoor arbor. My wife was skeptical at first because they are a smaller company, but we are glad we gave them a chance. They got all the permits handle & built our project with safety in mind. Will recommend to family and friends!
