UPDATE: company said they would contact me after this review but never did, months later. I am leaving this review with the hopes future potential customers will choose to avoid the costly mistake of using Taylor’s Roofing. I reached out to my new homebuilder, Dr Horton in February about my entryway falling apart and what I believed was a roofing issue. I received no response and eventually bought in another company to assess the roof. They informed me it was a $3700 workmanship issue that led to the leakage and a nail was also left carelessly in my roof, leading to additional leaking. If not addressed by the builder, I was informed my entryway would eventually collapse. I had the hole temporarily sealed. I later learned Taylor’s Roofing was used by Dr Horton to build my roof in 2023. Photos of this assessment below. Dr Horton agreed to eventually fix this. I was told Taylor’s Roofing would contact me to schedule an appointment. Taylor Roofing never reached out but instead went to my home and got on my roof to assess the damage without my knowledge. They then reported to Dr Horton that there was no damage-referencing the very temporary seal to a serious $3700 problem. An absurd finding and quite frankly, done by way of trespassing. Dr Horton acknowledged, as the homeowner I should have been contacted before anyone got on my roof. Both Dr Horton and Taylor’s Roofing refused to fix the quoted $3700 in damage due to Taylor’s poor workmanship, saying the warranty is up but a roof is meant to last longer than 2 years and poor workmanship is just that, no matter how much time has passed. There are plenty of reputable and exceptional roofing companies in Polk County that will ensure your roof is built to last. Please find another one.

10/7/25 Response: Mrs. Howell, please contact our office at 863-676-2555. We have attempted to make contact with you multiple times at the two phone numbers your Builder has provided for you but we have received no response. We are eager to discuss this further with you. Dear Mrs. Melissa Howell, We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. Customer satisfaction and workmanship are extremely important to us, and we take all feedback seriously. After receiving your review we attempted to contact you via phone for several consecutive days but were unable to. We would like to apologize for gaining access to your property without your knowledge or preapproval. Please understand this was done with genuine concern for your issue and at the permission of the individual who we now know is only a tenant. This work order came into our office from your builder classified at an emergency status. It is our policy to address orders of this nature within 24 hours, which we did. However, we understand your viewpoint and will use this to better our communication efforts the best we can moving forward. That said, we genuinely regret that this experience has left you frustrated, and we’re always open to discussing concerns further. We value transparency and accountability, and we hope to rebuild your trust. Sincerely, Taylor’s Roofing Team

I wouldn't hire these guys. They must be immature. I was out for my morning run today and was heckled by one of the employees. I run thousands of miles each year, rarely am I heckled. It is even more rare to be heckled by someone in an obviously marked work truck. It shows a real lack of awareness. This happened on Cypress Gardens Rd. around 7:20am 12/31/24.

I would strongly advise against using Taylor Roofing for any roofing needs. I hired the company to replace my roof with a metal one. After speaking with Nick who reassured me that I would receive everything that was discussed I was left disappointed. Upfront I paid half to have a gutter installed and I explained ahead of time that wanted to get the facer board painted before the gutters were installed. While waiting for this final piece to be completed I received a phone call from Christina asking for final payment despite the gutters not being completed yet. I explained to her that if the gutters weren’t up yet then the job is still open and not fully completed. During the call she never mentioned a lien being placed on my home. Later I came to find out that a lien had been placed on my home and to add insult to injury it was for the wrong amount owed. After several attempts to get in contact with Christina or a manager to resolve the issue to no avail and I was forced to pay the incorrect lien amount. To say I was disappointed is understatement. I feel as if my issues and concerns were disregarded and the final job will end up costing me more money down the line.

Mrs. Dennis, We regret you feel that we fell short of your expectations and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to you with regard to the lien process. Your complaint to our office was in regard to the type of roof installed and not with the facia needing painted prior to gutter work. As explained in detail to you, we provided two separate proposals, a standing seam or rib metal proposal, of which you chose the lesser value of the two. The contracted work, accepted and signed by you, was fully executed on our end which you expressed your dislike approximately a month later. Our only option to remedy your situation was to completely remove the roof and re-install a standing seam roof which you declined. We also explained that the gutter job was a separate contract and job which was open until you decided to no longer move forward. We offered a full refund for said gutter contract that you opted to have applied to your roof balance. We also provided you with a credit to your roof balance for materials as a courtesy. As for the construction lien, that is standard protocol which is outlined in the contract in which we have a specific number of days to initiate should payment not be received by customers in full. Christina also spoke with you on numerous occasions regarding the matter including returning your calls when she received your messages and having the Owner contact you at your request. If you have any questions or need additional clarification, you are always welcome to call the office and speak with Christina or an Owner.

Our roof was replaced in 2018. A leak appeared during the recent down pours. We were not successful in reaching our original roofing company, so we contacted GAF warranty company. GAF contacted Taylor Roofing to come and inspect our roof. Two very nice and professional employees from Taylor Roofing came out, inspected and repaired the leak. Aaron also stated they would take care of submitting the warranty claim for payment. They had great communication, were on time and solved our leaky roof problem. In the future, Taylor Roofing will be who we will call for our roofing needs.

We recently had our roof done by Ricky Binet from Taylor Roofing. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the beginning, Ricky’s professionalism and attention to detail stood out to me. What impressed me most was how responsible and trustworthy Ricky was throughout the entire process. Even when I wasn’t able to be there in person to monitor the work, he handled everything seamlessly and with great care. Ricky’s communication was excellent the entire time. He kept me informed during every stage, answering questions and providing updates so I felt confident that things were progressing smoothly. It is rare to find someone like Ricky that combines such a strong workmanship with clear and thoughtful communication.

We had an amazing experience with this roofing company. Ricky Binet was great to work with—very honest, straightforward, and patient. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made the entire process easy and stress-free. What impressed us the most was how quickly everything was done. Our roof was completed within a week of starting the process, and the entire installation was finished in just one day. The cleanup afterward was excellent as well—you could hardly tell they had been there. We are extremely happy with the results and highly recommend this company to anyone needing roofing work done.

Aaron & the Taylor roofing crew were absolutely phenomenal! Their service was amazing from start to cleanup. As a retired contractor from Ohio, price was reasonable compared to 2 other bids. Tear off & installation of 46 squares in 8.5 hours! Don't waste any time comparison shopping, Taylor 's is the best roofing company in my many years of experience. The cleanup was absolutely spotless with no damage to any shrubs or plants! Many, many thanks to Aaron & his wonderful crew!
