  Our experience with Summit Roofing was extremely disappointing and ended up costing our family over $1,600 in damages and repairs. After a storm, Bailey Finnegan, a Project Manager with Summit Roofing, came to our door offering free tarping services to protect our home from water intrusion. We accepted the offer in good faith, believing the work would be performed professionally and without causing additional damage. Unfortunately, damage occurred during the tarping process. We have photographs documenting the condition of the roof and the work that was performed. As a direct result, we were forced to hire another company and spend more than $1,600 to correct the issues and complete the necessary repairs. When we brought our concerns to Summit Roofing and requested reimbursement, management refused to accept responsibility. Their position was that because the tarping was offered for free, the resulting repair costs were not their responsibility. We were also told they were simply there to prevent water intrusion until repairs could be made. Whether a service is free or paid, a company should be responsible for damages caused while performing work on a homeowner’s property. Instead of standing behind their work and resolving the issue, Summit Roofing chose to deny responsibility and leave us with the bill. Homeowners should be aware of our experience and carefully consider who they trust to work on their roof. We have photos, written communications, and repair invoices documenting what occurred. Bottom line: Summit Roofing’s work resulted in over $1,600 in repair costs for our family, and the company refused to take responsibility.

When our project manager was in the area, your wife accepted our assistance regarding the missing shingles on your roof. Because the exposed area created an immediate risk of water intrusion and additional damage to your home, we secured a tarp to your already damaged roof to help protect the property. While tarping is typically a billable emergency service, we were happy to provide it at no charge as part of our proposed repair solution. We subsequently provided an estimate of $900 to permanently repair the damaged area, which included the tarp installation at no additional cost. Unfortunately, our offer to complete the repairs was declined. Our intention was simply to help prevent further damage and provide a professional solution to the issue. We value every customer and always strive to act in their best interest. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best moving forward.

  The team did great work from assisting and advising through the claim period to conducting the roof replacement to the final cleanup and payments. I also have 3 dogs and cleanup was extremely thorough to make sure the yard was safe afterwards!! Great work, highly recommend!!
