  We decided to use this roof company since it was local, and we only needed a roof certification. The gentleman who arrived was only on the roof for about 5 minutes and had to leave due to being late for another appointment. We didn't get the report until maybe a day or two once my wife called. He quoted us anywhere from 1000 to 1500 to repair the wood rot on Fascia board and eaves. After a day or so we decided well we need to just fork out the money to get the repairs done so we can close our loan for our property, so my wife called and the lady who answered said that we need to contact the person who inspected the roof but from what she is seeing is that we would need a new roof on top of the cost of required repairs, how is this correct from my understanding is that after the required repairs are done we would get a roof certification, she said she was unsure so she gave us a number to person named brad whom she thought inspected the roof. Once we contacted Brad, he said he didn't inspect the property and would have the person who did call us back and let us know if we can get a certification for 2 years after the repairs were done. Of course, we never got a call back, this is absolutely ridiculous we just want to get the repairs done and get a roof certification. Now I got to pay another inspection fee from another company because I decided to choose this company that has given me nothing but the runaround, I strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere if you need a roof certification to close your loan to a home you're buying or selling because if you go with this company, well let's just say you're going to be S.O.L.

  Contacted Straight Edge for a leaking roof that needed repair. Communication was very poor. A employee came out to inspect the damage. I went inside to wait while he did the inspection and expected an explanation of the findings, but he left without telling me after about 5 minutes on the roof. After waiting two days I had to contact them for my estimate. When I finally received it, the prices were padded with additional roof maintenance costs and there was no information explaining the cause of the leak or how many problem areas there actually were. I was in a bind because additional rain was predicted for the coming week and I needed the leak fixed. I was able to get a price for just the leak repair. Their roofer came out and was done in a very expensive hour and a half and had fixed only one of the leaks. Afterwards, I had the roof work looked at by another roofer and was told the job Straight Edge had done was not done correctly. The lugs had not been cut back to allow a better flow in the valley. When I contacted StraightEdge, they were going to send someone to look at the work. I kept contacting the employee in charge of the project and he would say he was going to come out and check the work then not show up. When he did finally reinspect the repair, I received a very rude phone call. He said I never told them to cut the lugs back and rudely asked me if I expected them to buy me new tiles for the price I paid. I replied, that for the price I paid, I expected quality work and the leak to be repaired so it would not occur again. I’m not a roofer. I do not know what lugs are, but I trusted the job would be done correctly. The leak was repaired, but it was poorly done and they were not going to do anymore work than what they had done. As a consumer, this company just cared about money and not the customer or putting pride behind their work. Awful experience and expensive lesson learned.   I asked them for a roof inspection in Merced and Brian was right on it. He gave me a comprehensive roof inspection with photos and a video. He responds quickly. Straight edge Roofing will be my go to guy. He knows a lot about commercial roofs.

  Worry free experience with Straight Edge Roofing. Two very nice young men, Michael and Branson, showed up on time to insulate my attic. They did a great job, I would highly recommend this company.

  Called for some roof repairs. Fast responses, quote completed within the week, project started shortly after and project done in a timely manner. Very easy to work with and great workmanship. Definitely recommend!
