Had roof replaced through insurance. My Replacement Cost Value was $12000. My deductible was $2500 and so my net acv claim was $6300 (first insurance check). My maximum recoverable depreciation (2nd insurance check once job is completed) was $3200, so the maximum claim amount i would receive would $9500, only if the cost to replace the roof was met at $12000 They had convince me that they will work with me to get my maximum claim amount if I chose them for the job. They said they can get the cost to $9600, and will help me get the maximum claim amount so I will only be out $100. Which I thought was a good deal, because I wouldn't have to worry about my deductible. Turns out, this is insurance FRAUD! I will eventually be out my deductible, which is $2500 and will not received any of my recoverable depreciation since the invoice was lower than the replacement cost value. I contacted Scott multiple times, NO ANSWER! He finally forward me to a guy name Justin. He explain the situation and told me it was POOR COMMUNICATION on their part. So it basically it was their fault they led me to believe they can pull off the FRAUD so that they can get the job. WHAT A SHADY BUSINESS!!! It's the fact that they led me that they can help me save money by "avoiding" my deductible but only using the insurance money so they can get the job. it's these kind of people and company who represent the shady and frauds construction industry is.

I’m sorry there was a misunderstanding between you and our team. It wasn’t our intention to mislead you in any way. The insurance proceeds process has become complicated for homeowners and roofing contractors since insurance companies started withholding depreciation. Unfortunately, a deductible by definition is “the amount of money you will pay on an insurance claim before the insurance coverage kicks in and pays the rest." It's part of the agreement every homeowner has with their carrier. You are correct in that if a contractor is willing to work for less than the estimate given by insurance that typically the Insurance Company is the only one saving money. Contractors must submit an invoice for the depreciation to be released and for it to be released in full, the invoice must be at minimum what insurance was willing to pay. Honest contractors will not submit an invoice different from what they intend to collect because this is where they would be breaking the law. It is our policy to follow the law and collect what we bill. We had to follow the law with your roof replacement, which is what we did. As a part of our training, we have a continuous improvement plan and will be covering this topic in our next meeting to avoid any confusion in the future. We appreciate your feedback and want to do better. We would love to speak with you further. Our owner will be reaching out to you to discuss next steps and answer any questions you may have.

Aaron came out and performed a very thorough inspection on my roof. He was there inspecting for a very long time, and I received the most detailed roof inspection I’ve ever received. Roofers don’t always have the best reputation, but Aaron and his company are full of integrity. He will never push you into anything you don’t feel comfortable with. I highly recommend him and his company.
