  I based my choice of this company on the positive reviews here, which is why it feels important to share my experience. I had cap shingles replaced on a low hip roof. I had asked that they be removed and then new ones laid. I was told that was not how it should be done. I only got pictures of the work a few weeks after it had been completed. The shingles were laid over the old ones, a new shingle that was torn or cracked was left and nailed down and also with silicone. I was told it should be roofer's tar and there should be no exposed nails. I'm not an expert so there is clearly a difference of opinion here. But my own contractor on a large renovation said the work was shoddy and so did another roofer I showed the work to (in another state so not competition) who basically said he would be angry if his workers did a job like this. I spoke to the owner who was dismissive of others' opinions and my concern (I"I don't care what anyone else said") and said there was no problem with the roof (that the shingle is purposely torn at the corners and nailed --okay but only on one side?) so I've left the photos here so people can make their own decision. At one point he offered to give my money back and then took that back. The conversation was unpleasant enough I wouldn't return on that alone.

  I contacted Sexton Roofing with one call and the responsiveness from this company won them my business. From the beginning, Sho was my contact and he did a spectacular job in assessing the job and setup the contract and on installation day the crew arrived sharp at 7:30am and both Delmis and Eric introduced themselves and the crew started the work. Part of my roof had damaged boards under the shingles and they went ahead and replaced all the boards and added water proof adhesives and installed water diverters as mentioned. The entire site was covered for debris and after they finished the work they stopped by to ask me if I had any questions and cleaned the site as if they were never there. I know it’s a long review but you can tell I am very pleased with their professionalism and best work.

  If you are looking for a new roof, definitely consider Sexton Roofing. They are a very well-run company with excellent products, management and personnel. I feel we worked with their "dream Team". Spenser was punctual, informative and helped us decide the best products for our situation. Not only did he inspect the roof from the outside, he climbed up on the roof and into the attic to help develop the right Scope of Work. Their Project Manager Mike was very knowledgeable and experienced, was personable and focused on customer satisfaction. The installer, Jose, and his team were hard working, fast, skilled and incredibly efficient. He carefully removed and reinstalled the original gutter guards, saving us several thousand dollars. The end result was a beautifully-installed new roof and a very clean yard. Great job!
