  My partner was concerned about how the roof would look from the upstairs windows, meanwhile I mostly cared about the garage studio not dripping onto my things. Both concerns were handled. Royal Roofing Long Island replaced the old roof with a self-adhered modified-bitumen system, added insulation, and corrected the low corner where water kept sitting. The first sample was much shinier than we expected and looked odd against the house. We asked for a darker finish, which added a day but was worth it especially since the job itself took only a few days. The roof looks and my tools are no longer covered with plastic whenever rain is coming.
