We had our roof done about 3 years ago by this company. They did a fine job with the roofing work - they had done repairs for us before so we hired them when it was time to replace the whole thing. But I don't think we'd use them again because they weren't good to communicate with and, 3 years later, we're still picking up roofing scraps from our yard and flower beds. Given our age, however, and the length of the guarantee on the roofing work, we expect that any problems with the roof will belong to the next owner of this house and not us. :)

We're sorry that you were not satisfied with the second job as you were with the first job that we performed. We did have a management change a few years ago, which may have been the reason for some miscommunications. We are totally committed to 100% customer satisfaction. Please let us know what we can do to get back into your good graces. Please contact me directly at 973-262-0467 and we will make it right.

When they replaced our roof & relined the gutters 6+ years ago, we were very happy. New owners did not respect guarantee. Paid several thou to repair gutter leak & they didn’t even bother to match shingles to the pricey roofing done earlier. NEVER AGAIN

We hired Roof4Roof to do a total roof replacement for our Condo in Hoboken. We chose them because we had a warranty included. Roof4Roof is no longer honoring the warranty and their customer service has been rude and inconsistent. Select another provider, or regret it down the road. Chuck: What do I gain here? I don't own a roofing company. You replaced our entire roof and we have had several leaks right after. Now you wont even come inspect the damage inside the unit and you make never ending excuses. Our management company has you on their "not recommended" list of contractors. False accusations? Leaking inside the unit from the roof with significant water damage is very easy to see. I'll upload photos so other potential customers can avoid the mess we are in.

Chuck answers: What an untrue and malicious review Andy! We've responded to every call or inquiry and you have my personal cell #, if you needed to reach me directly. We worked very closely together while your project was in progress. As you know, another contractor installed a deck on top of the roof we installed and the stairs from the deck penetrated our new roof. I promptly went out to make an assessment and gave a proposal for the needed repairs, which the other contractor should be responsible for. Many months have gone by and just today I received a phone call from your property manager asking about this matter. I told him that our repair quote was still good and then I receive notice of this ridiculous review. As licensed roofing and exterior contractors for over 30 years, with over 20,000 satisfied clients, we take great pride in our work and our prompt service. However, we will not perform work for free or remain quiet when false accusations are made against us.We look forward to being of service throughout all of northern NJ to property owners and property managers for many more years to come.

Roof leaked after 14 months. They were not willing to fix it unless I paid first, no support from them, not willing to help. Will not recommend or use again.

Mr. Monal, we sorry to read the bad experience you had. As soon as we got this review, our CEO, John Walters, reported he contacted you directly to fix this issue. Please, let us know if there's anything else we can do for you. Thank you very much.

Redid my main roof and garage with new gutters in Woodridge and would use them again no questions asked. The pricing was fair, workers on time, completed the full scope in 1 day, and no mess left behind. Not sure what else you can ask for.

    Reply from the business

Kevin, Joe Arminio here! I really appreciate the shout-out. Getting both the main roof and the garage roof knocked out in a single day—with a full seamless gutter installation to boot—is exactly how we like to roll. I’m glad you felt the pricing was fair and the cleanup was spotless! Now that we’ve got your drainage system squared away, keep an eye on the "oak tassels" and spring pollen that tend to carpet Wood-Ridge this time of year. Even with brand-new gutters, that heavy spring debris can sometimes gather around the downspout openings. A quick look-see from the ground to ensure water is still discharging at least five feet away from your foundation will keep your basement bone-dry during the heavy storms we have headed our way. Since we did such a clean job on the garage, consider emailing me in the near future at joe@roof4roof.com if you'd like me to give you a quick estimate on some modern siding accents to really complete that exterior transformation. Also consider that beyond the roof, many homeowners in your area are currently upgrading to energy-efficient window replacements and insulated systems to keep those July cooling costs down. Kevin, thanks again to trust your roof and exterior property to Roof4Roof!

We had a complete replacement of our roof and gutters. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Everything was cleaned up so well, it was like they weren’t even here! Such a great experience from the beginning to the end!

    Reply from the business

Hello Mrs. Barbosa, John Walters here! Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm happy to read that you had a great experience from start to finish. My crew takes a lot of pride in that "invisible" cleanup—we believe the only sign we were ever there should be your beautiful new roof and gutters! As you might notice, we are heading straight into the season of heavy spring thunderstorms and high pollen. It’s the perfect time to keep those brand-new gutters in place. My quick "New Jersey May" tip: keep an eye on your downspout exits over the next few weeks. With the trees budding and "oak tassels" falling, you’ll want to make sure the discharge areas stay clear so that heavy rain continues to flow far away from your foundation. Mrs. Barbosa, email me directly at john@roof4roof.com if you'd like me to put you on my calendar for a quick "1-year gutter tune-up" next spring just to make sure everything settled perfectly after the winter. Thanks again for trusting your roof and gutters to Roof4Roof.

R4R did a fantastic job of replacing a roof at our condo complex in Clifton NJ, the quality of the workmanship if EXCELLENT! The quality of the shingles are to of the line, the work ares was very clean the entire time and the staff was a pleasure to work with.

    Reply from the business

Stephen, Joe Arminio, Roof4Roof's Multi-family and condo consultant, here! I really appreciate you taking the time to highlight our recent work at the condo complex in Clifton, NJ. It was a total pleasure working with you, and I’m thrilled you noticed the Roof4Roof difference in the top-of-the-line shingles we used and how meticulous my crew is about keeping the site clean. We know that in a busy condo community, professionalism and a tidy work area are just as important as the roof installation itself. Since we are now in the heart of April, we are officially in the middle of the "April Showers" season here in New Jersey. It is the absolute best time to have a new, high-quality roofing system, gutters, chimneys and fresh repointing to keep those heavy spring rains from finding their way inside. I'm glad we could get that building squared away before the peak of the spring storm season hits! Beyond roofing and masonry, keep us in mind if the complex or any of the individual owners are looking to boost their curb appeal this spring. We specialize in premium siding, energy-efficient window replacements, and custom doors that can really transform the look of a property while lowering those summer cooling costs that are just around the corner. As you might notice, we are seeing a lot of heavy, wind-driven rain across Clifton and the surrounding areas. My best advice right now is to take a quick walk around the building perimeter during the next downpour. If you see water "sheeting" over the edge of the gutters or notice "pitting" in the mulch near the foundation, it’s a clear sign that the gutter system is overwhelmed or blocked. Catching these drainage issues now is the best way to prevent basement dampness and foundation shifts before the ground fully saturates this spring.

    Roof replacement

    Reply from the business

Mr. Wiveck, Chuck Anania here! Thank you so much for the 5-star review regarding your recent roof replacement. It was a pleasure for our team at Roof4Roof to work on your property. Since we are right in the heart of winter, I want to make sure your investment stays in peak condition through these freezing temperatures. My biggest tip for January is to keep a close eye on your attic temperature and ventilation. If your attic gets too warm, it can cause snow on the roof to melt and refreeze at the cold eaves, which creates dangerous ice dams that can back up under shingles. You should also perform a quick visual check from the ground after any heavy wind or snow storms to ensure your gutters are still clear and no large branches have landed on your new roof surface. To keep your peace of mind intact, I highly recommend that we schedule your first preventive inspection + maintenance right now for the early spring. Setting this up ahead of time ensures we can get out there as soon as the thaw happens to verify that everything settled perfectly through the winter freeze-thaw cycles. This proactive step is the best way to maintain your warranty and ensure your roof lasts for decades. Would you like me to have the office reach out today to get that spring inspection on the calendar for you? - Please, give me call!

Excellent roofing company that stands by their work. Very easy to deal with!

    Reply from the business

Raymond, Chuck Anania here from Roof4Roof. Thank you so much for the kind words! We take a lot of pride in being easy to work with and, more importantly, standing behind every single nail we drive. You hit on something really important when you mentioned that we "stand by our work." I often tell property owners to be careful of the "Apples to Pineapples" comparison when looking at roofing companies and several roofing quotes. As I explain in these videos (https://youtu.be/jbQ0w_cJxis?si=iUA_cXSbXe7lP98n), many contractors might look the same on paper, but once you "peel back the skin," the differences are huge. What truly sets Roof4Roof apart is that we don’t just "shingle over" problems. We focus on the high-quality details—like superior underlayment, proper ventilation, and expert flashing—that many others skip to lower their price. Plus, our mission is unique: for every project we complete, we help provide a roof for a family and charities in need locally and worldwide. That is a level of commitment you won't find with any "orange" roofing company! Thanks for being part of our mission and for trusting Roof4Roof.com, a New Jersey Roofing Company, with your property!

Needed to get some yankee gutters fixed that were work out over time and leaking through the soffits. Spoke to Ryan and he had a crew out within 4 days to do the job. Workers were clean and polite. So far the work looks great and I am not seeing any leaks.

    Reply from the business

Hi Todd, this is Ryan from Roof4Roof. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience! It was a pleasure working with you to get those gutters and leaking soffits squared away. We know that timing is everything when it comes to NJ gutter repairs, so I’m glad we could get our crew out there within four days to protect your property. Since we are right in January, we are in the prime season for ice dams. My best advice for right now is to keep a close eye on your gutters after a heavy snow or deep freeze. If you see large icicles forming specifically along the edge of the Yankee gutters or behind the soffit, it’s a sign that snow is melting and refreezing because of a blockage or a temperature difference. On any day the temperature climbs above freezing, just do a quick visual check to ensure water is actually flowing out of the downspouts. Catching a small ice blockage now prevents water from backing up under your shingles and causing those soffit leaks to return. Todd, text me if you'd like me to put you on our list for a quick spring drainage check-up once the snow clears. Thank again for trusting us with your project.

From start to finish this company handled our cornis renovation with care, precision, and enthusiasm. The crew was punctual and professional and the work they did was meticulous. I can't adequately convey my gratitude with words. Roof4Roof is excellent, excellent, excellent!

    Reply from the business

Excellent, excellent, excellent feedback, Mrs. Brennan! Chuck Anania and his entire crew of exterior experts is more than proud of providing you with such remarkable experience on your property's renovation. As part of our commitment, and as the most expeciented contractor in my company LOL, I'd like to advise you on a few tips so your cornis remain as new for longer than the manufacturers' warranty time. Here we go! One of the best ways to protect your newly renovated cornice is to ensure your gutters and downspouts are always free of leaves and debris, as proper drainage is essential for preventing water damage. Additionally, a simple annual cleaning with a soft brush and mild cleaner will prevent dirt and mildew buildup, allowing you to spot any minor issues early on and keep your cornice looking pristine for years to come. ...All that maintenance sound like a lot of work to you? Give us a call, we'd be happy to do it all for you! - Chuck Anania, Roof4Roof CEO

Superior Customer Service from Roof 4 Roof. I had nothing but full attention and care from the initial in-person consultation from John, the professional written quote, customer appreciation gift bag from Kevin as well as the communication from the staff, Christina, Angie and Nancy, accounting, on-the job supervisors, Glenn and Ray. The installers did a high-quality job at a fair price. The payment system was easy to use.
