  I would never recommend MINT Exteriors. This was one of the most disappointing contractor experiences I have ever had. What was represented to me before I signed and what happened afterward were two very different things. Commitments were not honored, documents I repeatedly requested were difficult to obtain, communication became an exercise in persistence, and the initial workmanship included problems and shortcuts that I found completely unacceptable. I ultimately had to bring in my own experienced roofing contractor, personally inspect the work, do my own cleanup, document the deficiencies, repeatedly push for answers, and maintain control of the insurance funds before this project finally moved toward an acceptable conclusion. Work had to be corrected and portions redone that should have been done correctly the first time. What bothers me most is that none of this should have required a fight. I work with contractors for a living. I understand construction, mistakes, change orders and insurance work. This was not simply a project where a few things went wrong. In my experience, it was a pattern of saying one thing, doing another, withholding information until pressed, defending unacceptable work, and changing positions only when I refused to accept the answers I was being given. The project is now closed and MINT has been paid in full. That does not change my opinion of the experience or how this company conducts business. Getting to the finish line required an extraordinary amount of my own time, knowledge, documentation and persistence. Had I simply trusted the process, released the funds and accepted what I was initially given, the outcome would have been very different. I would not use MINT Exteriors again under any circumstances.

  These guys are saying that they have things approved through our neighborhood HOA, when such conversations never happened. Shady stuff. Update 04/27: the part lied about was not the colors of the shingles, but the placement of lawn signage. Our HOA Bylaws state that these signs are not allowed. There is no exception to this rule. The salespeople were very aggressive, even after being told that we were already working with another company, with people literally on the roof, they still wanted us to work with Mint. They claimed credibility by saying that they knew our HOA president on a first name basis, where this simply was not true. (I verified with the president.) They likely just googled that information to try and make the sale. Again, super shady business practices. Multiple neighbors recounted similar experiences.

While we're truly sorry to hear that you feel your experience with MINT Exteriors was negative, I’d like to respectfully clarify a few key points on behalf of our team. After the March 2025 hailstorm, our company responded quickly to serve hundreds of homeowners in need, including yourself. At MINT Exteriors, we operate transparently and within the scope of the insurance estinate provided to us by each client’s carrier. In your case, all work was completed according to the agreed contract terms, and your out-of-pocket cost — your deductible — did not increase at any point during the process. You mentioned concern over a 3% processing fee for debit card use. While this is standard industry practice, and listed on the payment request, I agree it should have been communicated more clearly, and we’re actively reviewing how we can improve that part of our process. The office also offered to reimburse you this fee. Regarding supplements, this is a normal part of insurance restoration work. When we identify code-required or scope-missed items in the adjuster’s initial estimate, we submit a supplement to ensure the repairs are done correctly and to current building standards. These funds are not an overcharge — they are part of bringing your property back to pre-storm condition. To be clear, these funds were approved by your insurance company, not added arbitrarily by us. Lastly, and most importantly, your final invoice remained consistent with the original agreement. Unfortunately, we never received the final payment despite fulfilling our obligations. We understand that insurance proceeds are personal, but they are issued to cover necessary repairs, not to be kept as profit. Our team acted with honesty and professionalism throughout, and we stand by the work completed on your home.   I'm tired of getting these mailers telling me my roof needs replaced. My roof is in great condition, my neighbor down the street also owns a roofing company and he has assured me that my roof is fine. This company lies, and tells me that my roof shingles need an inspection and possibly replaced.

  Mr. Escamilla, MINT Exteriors does not have mailers that say your roof needs to be replaced. We have never told anyone they need a roof replacement without a proper inspection.   I was impressed by the quick response time and property inspection after the recent waxahachie hail storms last month they came out late on a Friday afternoon and were ready to tackle my problems. After receiving word from my homeowners insurance that unfortunately I have a metal exclusion on my policy and my damages wouldn’t be covered I contacted Mint and they were understanding and acted like they were still interested in helping. I asked for a estimate to repair the damages informing them that I would be paying cash since insurance was a no go and after waiting a couple weeks with several excuses from the sales rep I still never received a estimate. They strung me along excuse after excuse meanwhile my roof was leaking I had to put buckets in the attic to keep from having further damage which wasn’t a fun job it’s like they only want to make the big money from the insurance companies and have no time for smaller cash jobs for individuals. I will not suggest using Mint especially if you are paying out of pocket!!!

  Ivan brokered our roof repair in 2025, and I recommend Mint on that service alone. He and the other representatives were communicative with our household throughout the process, including the back and forth with our insurance company. We paid a more than fair price after they negotiated with insurance, and they completed the work quickly, with little to no impact on our daily routine. Business aside, I do appreciate Ivan's warm, professional attitude that he continues to provide well after the service is complete.

  Repair process was explained to us. They then carefully and expertly looked for details and presented their findings clearly to the adjuster, gaining agreement. They have a local office (Waxahachie) and we feel that their interests were aligned with ours.

  Not only is my new roof beautiful, the whole process was so easy thanks to Ryan Blevins! He walked me through everything and the guys who came to install the roof, even put all of my kids outsides toys back on my front porch for me!! Everyone did amazing! I’m one happy customer!
