Been meaning to write this review for a long time. We had a small job done (gazebo roof replaced). As Ed said no job to small or large. Every time I pull up my driveway - I say what a great roof. Ten times better then the original one. Great quality and craftsmanship - they even found bead board to match the interior . I would recommend this company to family and everyone else. Thanks guys - job well done.

This is the second time we have had Midwest Cedar Roof Maintenance clean our cedar shakes. As before, everything went smoothly. The employees arrived as scheduled and introduced themselves. They were all friendly and polite. The crew did a great job on the roof. Occasionally we heard pounding on the roof. I think the employees secured shakes that were loose. They even cleaned up debris that fell off the roof, cleaned the windows, which had been soiled from the roof cleaning, and rinsed off the deck to make sure everything looked good. We will definitely call Midwest Cedar Roof again to have our cedar shakes cleaned. These folks know what they are doing, and they are thorough.

I’ve had a long standing relationship with Ed and his crew for about 16 years! I have a cedar shake roof which is high maintenance to maintain longevity. Ed has taught me so much about what this roof needs. With his knowledge and workmanship my roof doesn’t show its age. His crew clean my roof spring and fall replace and seal the cedar. When you work with someone who is a straight shooter and has your best interest you develop a trust that’s hard to find these days. His crew hard working and respectful. I highly recommend Midwest Cedar Roof Maintenance!!!

Ed and his crew replaced my roof as part of an insurance claim over the winter (after the big storm that hit Cary). Ethan did an excellent job working with our insurance to get the estimate just right, they explained the material options well, and they even helped with other exterior repairs that were part of the claim. The roofing crew was efficient and respectful and took pride in their work: all the flashing details were neatly done and the whole roof looks amazing.

Like a maelstrom, our house was damaged by the 100 mph winds and hail that ravaged Cay in late August 2025. Like locusts, the tempest drew good and bad companies into the town; many were unknown to me. That being said, I live in the Hillhurst area and have seen Ed and Elva's Midwest Cedar Roof Maintenance company working down the street in the past, and I have admired their craftsmanship while walking my dogs. Clean-looking, sleek ridges and valleys drew me into their work. I worked many years in my youth in the construction field, including plenty of roofing, and I can see all, filtering out the good from the bad. However, what I liked most about them, besides their attention to detail and the quality of workmanship, was that they never once knocked on my door. I found them, roofing a house down the street while walking my two little dogs. Up until then, I had every storm chaser hammering on our door, and most were blatantly pushy to the point I wanted to scream at them. For me, they were an easy fit because I had witnessed their team working efficiently on my neighbor's house in the past and during the aftermath of the F-1-rated city disaster. My advice is to use a trusted quality company like theirs. They had the experience to answer all my questions and resolve the issue without hesitation or any lengthy financial negotiation. Example: “Ed, I have two ice dams that build up in valleys every winter, and they are ruining my gutters.” “No problem, we can install W-shaped valley aluminum sheeting so the snow and ice will slide right off.” Those might not be the exact words, but it was an instantaneous answer followed by a verbal price that never changed. They addressed every problem with ease and did not cut corners; they replaced 17 sheets of plywood that others would not have installed, installed roofline venting, installed bathroom vent caps, installed 3 fantastic skylights, and installed the beautiful zinc-colored, aluminum W-shaped valleys. And most im
