  BUYER BEWARE....TRUST BUT VERIFY!!! I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND the services of Luis Tintin, CEO of LT Home Improvement LLC in Danbury CT. IN MY OPINION and RECENT EXPERIENCE with Luis Tintin, he is untrustworthy, unethical, deceptive, dishonet, lacks integrity and credibility. My finished basement was flooded due to burst pipes in 2/11/26 during the deep freeze. It was such a catastropic event for me. My house was damaged, personal property, furniture, electronics, etc. were destroyed and discarded.The mitigation, remediation, demolition process, personal property, contents handling of the home were done and completed on 2/11/26-2/19/26 by another company. I was google searching for a Contractor to do the reconstruction of my basement on 5/18/26. I found LT Home Improvement web site. I read two negative reviews on google and on Better Business Bureau from two customers who were promised free estimates. but billed later on by Luis Tintin. I checked Luis Tintin Face book and web site and it clearly states FREE ESTIMATE FREE INSPECTION. I should have believed the negative reviews. Instead I gave Luis Tintin the benefit of the doubt. I completed the form on his web site that says: Request a FREE ESTIMATE. I also sent an email requesting FREE ESTIMATE. I met him on 5/19/26 to inspect my property and to prepare an estimate. An Adjustor from my home insurance already inspected my property for five hours back on 2/13/26. She came and took measurements, photos, prepared the estimate, approved the scope of work and cost to rebuild for $24,932.42 on 3/5/26.When I met Luis Tintin for the first time on 5/19/26 I showed the Travelers estimate to him. Luis Tintin told me $24,932.00 was not enough. He had to prepare a supplement estimate for more funds. I requested the estimate to be sent to me for review and approval. Ignoring my request, he submitted the supplement estimate directly to my home insurance for $38,231.00 before I could see it. When he finally sent m

We respectfully but strongly DISAGREE with this review. LT Home Improvement has proudly served Connecticut homeowners for over 20 years, earning the trust of our community and more than 100 positive Google reviews. A single review containing serious accusations does not define our reputation or the quality of service we have consistently provided. The statements made here are the reviewer's personal opinions and allegations, not established facts. We categorically deny any accusation of fraud, dishonesty, or unethical conduct. The homeowner voluntarily contacted our company, signed a written agreement authorizing us to prepare a professional Xactimate insurance estimate. An insurance estimate prepared with Xactimate is not the same as a free retail estimate. The administrative invoice was not for a free estimate; it covered the preparation of a professional insurance scope of work, including insurance pricing, physical inspections, photo documentation, measurements, and office administration time. Our estimate reflected our professional judgment. Insurance companies independently determine what they approve or deny—we do not control those decisions. We also categorically deny the allegation that our estimate was fraudulent. No reconstruction work was ever performed, and despite the professional time invested, we ultimately did not collect any payment from the homeowner in an effort to bring the matter to a close.   You would be wise to avoid this company! At best, they are unprofessional with poor customer service and follow-up, but possibly something much worse. I would give them a lower rating if i could. Luis charged me $100 for an estimate on siding and windows. That should have been a red flag. I've had dozens of estimates for all kinds of work and have never been charged for one. He kept giving me the runaround when i followed up and he never sent me the estimate.

  Excellent service from start to finish! The team did a great job installing the gutters at my home. Luis, was very attentive throughout the entire process and made sure everything was done right.   I had a great experience with the free inspection and retail estimate from LT Home Improvement. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. They explained the different roofing and siding materials, installation options, warranties, and what would work best for my home. I never felt pressured to make a decision.   I hired LT Home Improvement Contracting to repair and replace siding as well as a couple windows at my house in Roxbury, CT. I had used LT Home Improvement years ago to replace the roof on the same house. As always, Mr. Luis Tintin and his employees did an excellent job at a fair price. They worked quickly and efficiently, were extremely courteous, and left the worksite clean and tidy throughout the entire process. Thank you, LT Home Improvement for another job well done!

  Luis, his employees and his subcontractors are very skilled, pleasant, courteous, honest and apparently well connected among suppliers. The work we had done was more than we had planned, but each time an issue was uncovered, Luis made sure to obtain our approval before spending more than we had agreed to. Our job consisted of new roof and gutters, repair to rot underneath siding, replace siding with specialty materials, new door, five new windows as well as re-roofing an outdoor shed, including replacement of the truss structure. We are very satisfied with the work this contractor did, and plan to employ him again when needed.
