  Disappointing Gutter Installation I made the mistake of choosing the cheapest contractor for my gutter installation. Having a recurring problem with leaves clogging the downspouts, I specifically requested 3-inch downspouts. Despite my request, they installed a tiny 1-inch hole at the top of the gutters. As a result, the very first fall, I had to climb onto the roof to clear the blockage. The following year, they came back supposedly to fix the problem, but the experience was just as poor. They came while I was on vacation, despite my explicit request to reschedule. Since I wasn't there, I couldn't point out the other defects in their work: The slopes are incorrectly adjusted, causing water to overflow directly onto my new windows when the gutters are clogged. Visible screws spoil the appearance of the gutters, especially on the street side. A downspout empties directly into another gutter, creating a constant and unnecessary blockage. Since then, the company has stopped answering my calls. I therefore had to fix the problem myself. I am deeply disappointed with the quality of the service and workmanship. -- I strongly advise paying a little more and hiring real professionals.
