I hired Guardian for a new roof this summer, and it was a disaster. The sales team was good—but they sold us a snake oil show. For example, they left gaping holes during a rainstorm that flooded my attic. How did they resolve it? The project manager lied to my face. If I hadn’t taken a video of the damage, they would have kept lying instead of resolving it. In short—don’t trust them. Do yourself a favor and go with a company you can count on, and it will probably cost less! They’ve also had to come back several times to fix things, and have tried to argue with me every time. DM me if you’d like more details. I’m happy to save future costumers from the nightmare we endured with Guardian.

*EDIT* Here we are, 2 years later and still dealing with this terrible company. After many phone calls, they came last fall to "fix" the terrible caulk and the pieces that were falling off. They attempted to grind off the caulk and in the process, damaged the trim even more. They then attempted to cover these scratches by smearing caulk over them. Now it looks worse, which I didn't realize was possible. When My husband and I went to inspect the "fixes", we were told by Josh that his boss is pissed off by my google review and if I would agree to take it down, they would power wash my siding for free. WOW!! What a deal. Not. I told him that I won't be taking it down and I just want my trim fixed. So, after many phone calls over the winter, I was told they would be there in March to fix everything. Nope. They haven't shown up. I have called and left many messages since and received no response. They have also blocked me on Facebook after I left a negative review there. So, it looks like I will be contacting a lawyer and getting my money back. I have also filed a report with the BBB. We used Guardian to have our wood trim wrapped in aluminum. Darlene, that gave us the estimate was so friendly and helpful. Theresa from the office called and said she would call me every other week with an update. After the contract was signed and they had half of the payment in their pockets, all communications ceased. I called several times a week and left a message requesting a call back. I only received one when I threatened to call a lawyer. At this point it had been almost 5 months since I paid them almost $4000. Nick and Bobby, that handled most of our installation were AMAZING! Nick was in constant communication during the entire project. They were professional, friendly, and great at their jobs! Nick, Bobby, and Darlene would earned Guardian 5 stars. However, communication from the office is very lacking. *EDIT*In October (2 months after they completed the project) I noticed that

Updating: Went from 2 stars to 1, it has been over 3 months since Guardian finally got in contact with me and still no solution. They tried two ways to fix my roof and unfortunately it made it look worse. It has now been almost a month since the last attempt. After not hearing anything from the last solution attempt, I reached out to the Production Manager on 10/9 and spoke with someone else over the phone who said they would talk with the PM and get back to me on next steps and I have not heard back as of 10/24. Reached out last October for a coating to be done on our roof. The up front customer service was great and they came out shortly after initial contact. Once contract was signed and deposit received the communication was poor and I had to keep following up. They came out right before year end and applied the coating. The coating was applied poorly in multiple spots and are overly shiny and can be seen from down the road. The company has been called twice to discuss options and I always get forwarded to production and no one ever picks up and I leave a voice-mail and get told it will be returned in 24 hours. The most recent call was a week ago and I have not heard back. Disappointing after the beginning started off so promising.

Added 6/2 - Wish I could take out the one star. Still dealing with these horrible people at Guardian. Told me the way to fix this was to re-side the house because it was a manufacturer defect for the coating. The kicker to this is they want me to pay an additional $18,000 to what I already paid for the coating to bring the total to reside my moderate house to almost $38,000!! Why am I paying for a manufacturer defect. They think I am going away and that is not going to happen! No responses from Andy, ask to speak to owner, no response, call or anything. Filed a complaint with the BBB. Absolutely ridiculous making a customer pay for a manufacturer defect to make some of your money back. Added 3/26/24 - here we are another spring, another year after this whole project started and now the paint is two tone in the front as well as looks like it is dripping (which I complained about in Oct/Nov when they decided to repaint when I told them not too due to weather) and the paint is bubbling, which is what happened last year. Why can't this company get it right? I have had them out to my house to fix so many times i cannot count. They do nothing like they say they will nor do they care what the customer is asking. I was told the siding being fixed (AGAIN) will be all one piece, but nope they still did it in pieces which makes it look horrible. I told them I didn't want a six inch piece of siding with a gap, again, NOPE they did not care. Worst company I have dealt with. I emailed the production manager Patti last year and she has ignored my emails. I hope now I can talk to a higher up manger/owner that will actually respond and rectify this as it should be. I have done many renovations on my house over the last year and this was by far the worst experience I have had. I had siding replacement done and siding painting. I have had to continually follow up with them to check the status. I was lied to. They told me that production stated it would be ready in t

I don’t recommend using Guardian. I met with Bobby on 4/26/22 and was looking to get a quote for a roof repair related to an insurance claim as my roof was leaking into three rooms. I also required aluminum siding repairs due to the numerous dings, dents, tears, etc. At this point I had received 5 quotes for the roof and Bobby informed me that he could have the project done in 4-6 weeks. As this was quicker than the other contractors I decided to go with Guardian that day. Theresa the account manager was great to start. She told me she would call every other week with an update. It was great for the month of May, however the communication fell through in June when the project was supposed to be completed. In June, they were still waiting on materials. July, no calls. I had to reach out to them and again asked why it was taking so long as I have roof leaks and was informed that they were just waiting for other projects to be completed, but had no idea when those would be completed as they were short staffed. I finally had to engage one of the other contractors for my roof as I continued to receive damage to my home each time it rained and they completed it in a week. August, still no calls until 8/31 when they said they would be there the next day. As the roof was already done I told them the quote would need to be redone now. Bobby called on 9/1/22 and said he wished someone had told him about the roof leaks even though this was known at the time I signed the contract. He was willing to work with me as I still wanted to have the siding repaired. Each time an appointment was scheduled to revisit the quote, there was some other issue that was more important or they didn’t call or show at all for the appointment scheduled. The quotes that were given to me were for less repairs than originally agreed and for more money than originally agreed to. They also refused to itemize the quote when asked due to the smaller scope and never even looked at the house

I reached out to Guardian for a quote on getting my house resided. After waiting 2 weeks to get an estimate, this company cancelled the original appointment the same day and rescheduled for a week later. With no communication, they then did not show up for the rescheduled appointment today. I had to reach out to them, just for them to say they messed up their scheduling again. If they can’t be trusted to even get you a quote (after waiting a month with 1 cancelled appointment and 1 no show), I wouldn’t trust them to complete a job in a timely manner either. Extremely disappointing experience.

**Joe from Guardian has already called and threatened legal action within minutes of this post** Guardian is a company that advertises itself being a better construction experience with 100% customer satisfaction. In my experience, this means lies from their salesman and underwhelming results, with customer satisfaction taking a back seat to the company's bottom-line. Andrew their salesman lied through his teeth to get the sale. Once the down payment was made, he disappeared, refusing to answer basic questions. Their office staff couldn't get me a estimated start date within a month of when they actually did start, giving contradictory dates 3 times in a single day. I spent more time managing the project then their PM Kevin. I had to insist over a half-dozen times that the product was being installed incorrectly only to be ignored. Escalations to Joe the manager were fruitless, showing a true lack of customer focus and only offering solutions that wouldn't hurt their bottom line. After supplying their contractors with the wrong sized nails, they blamed their contractors for installing the product incorrectly. In the end most of the siding had to come off and go back up. I'm certain much of it is still wrong but the constant lies and lack of throughput over the 5 weeks it took them to complete a simple siding project was nothing short of overwhelming. I'm still picking up nails and cigarette butts, and trying to save my trampled perennials and regrow multiple swaths of grass they killed.

Some of the reviews I have seen here discuss only the consultation portion of the Guardian experience. I waited a long time to give my own review of my interactions with this company to give a more in depth expectation for prospective clients. The project I hired Guardian for involved some repairs/weatherproofing of the exterior of our home (later included window replacement as well). The consultation with Sonny was straight forward and I was optimistic about the pricing and process. Though I am not an expert in home repair or contracting work, I was somewhat unnerved by the fact that a significant deposit percentage of the projected price was required for the project to be placed in the scheduling books, but I'm not sure how typical this is. What followed was a series of events that extended a 2-3 day project into a nearly 12 month time frame. An exhaustive explanation of how this length of time developed would require more detail than most people would care to read, and honestly I never received an adequate explanation from Guardian anyway. The most stressful aspect was the lack of organization and communication with various (and seemingly disconnected) members of their company. Months would sometimes pass with no update on when the project was set to begin, or when it was finally set there simply would be a no show and no follow up explanation for it. Nearly every point of contact had to be initiated by us--I'm sure the project would still not be completed had it not been for our persistence and involving the Better Business Bureau to arbitrate the process. Had this been a more time sensitive repair the results could have been catastrophic, and I cannot condone a recommendation for prospective clients based on this fact. It is worth noting that the final quality of the work looked good upon my limited ability to assess it. As a clarifying note, the window replacement was added on later and performed by a different contractor within guardian. That process was muc
