  Does not obey no solicitation laws. I have clear signs posted that say no soliciting, my doorbell camera has a display that says "NO SOLICING" that their solicitor read outloud and rang the bell 2 times. DO NOT use a company that can not even respect your request or obey the law. Per Knox County law they violated the law and can be fined. Stay Away! Update: The business responded and has tried to justify their actions but don't understand the law; even if the business or solicitor does not have to pay the license they MUST posess a vlaid one and MUST abide by the law meaning they CAN NOT solicit at my resideice since the proper signange is displayed. Even if the law allowed them to solicit because they are local as they are implying (they can't) you should still stay far away as they clearly don't respect your privacy or wishes.

  My experience with Gold Medal Roofing was stellar from beginning to end. Gunnar was extremely helpful to me in dealing with the insurance company. His perseverance and good documentation of our roof damage due to a storm lead to the insurance company finally agreeing to replace our roof. Once approval was made, the project moved forward quickly. Stuart was our inside manager and set up our installation date. He was efficient and nice. Shane was our outside manager. He answered all of our questions patiently and was very professional and nice. Once the big day arrived so did the crew of talented and hardworking crew. They stripped off the old roof and placed all materials into the dumpster. The project took two days to complete thanks to pop up thunderstorms. During those rain storms they made sure we had no leaks. With our beautiful new roof and flashing in place, they made sure that my gardens were free of debris and undamaged. They checked and double checked for lost nails. A few days later Gunnar came by for us to complete the final paperwork. He even brought us a delicious loaf of blueberry bread from Heidi’s Bakery. I would recommend, without reservation, Gold Medal Roofing if you need a new roof.

  We have worked with Gold Medal twice and they have been great! Shane stays on top of things and gets the process moving with the least inconvenience as possible I recommend them to anyone looking for a roofer they made the process so easy and took alot of stress off my plate. They were the easiest construction job of any kind we have ever delt with, and we have delt with alot of construction projects. They show up when they say they will and their communication was spot on the entire process on both projects.

  I'm not a very trusting soul, I trusted Gold Metal Roofing and I'm so glad I did. I have been trying to get a new roof approved through our home owners insurance for a couple of years. Every time I filed a claim, it was denied. I was told it was normal wear and tear, even though we had many shingles missing from high winds amd storms. The last time I filed a claim was September 2025. That was denied again. Then one day in April, Gunner with Gold Metal Roofing came knocking on our door. He told me he was with Gold Metal Roofing of Knoxville and asked if he could go on our roof and do a Free Inspection. I told him about trying for years to get insurance to pay for a new roof and that I thought he was wasting his time, but to go for it. He explained to me that we were missing about 50 shingles, he did some investigating and found out the shingles we had were discontinued and that shingles couldn't be mismatched on a roof. I was with this insurance company for 40 years, on 2 different homes and got mad, dropped them in January 2026. Gunner told me that if I filed a claim, even if I dropped that insurance company, they were still responsible for up to 2 years after filing the claim. Gunner and Shane with Gold Metal Roofing got them to fully fund our new roof, all we had to pay was our deductible! And they did the job in one day! Trust Gold Metal Roofing
