  Disappointed with the follow-through My mother, who recently passed away, had a TPO roof installed by East Mountain Roofing about five years ago. When I contacted them about an issue, I was initially told to use her homeowners insurance. The owner, Daniel Kniffin, later said there had been a misunderstanding and, although the labor warranty had recently expired, he would fix it at no charge. I appreciated that and he told me he would personally come out and oversee the work on Wednesday, August 5. Unfortunately, the appointment was not confirmed the day before. I called Daniel to confirm that we still had an appointment, and he told me the crew was on their way. Aaron and Ray arrived at approximately 9:30 a.m., but Daniel never showed. We are preparing to sell our mother’s home and had realtors coming by, so the lack of communication was frustrating. The workers themselves worked hard in approximately 100-degree heat, and I want to give them credit for that. However, the roof was power washed, and muddy water was left on the concrete, entrance area and mat, and splashed onto my two-week-old Toyota Tacoma and the upstairs bedroom windows. I also requested photos and paperwork showing what work was completed but never received them. Daniel, the owner, has not contacted me since last Wednesday, when I spoke with him to confirm our appointment. I originally removed my review hoping the situation would be resolved. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been. I hope the owner will still reach out and address my concerns.

  Late to post this review from a few years ago but TRUE... Estimater gives me a "free" quote for a simple routine roof maintenance job @ FOUR hours for two people. One tech arrives with materials and she does the job in TWO hours by herself. Owner still wants the FOUR hour quoted price and tries to justify the gouging by saying they had to get the materials... caulk and paint and that he had to pay his estimator to do the FREE estimate. If they don't have the materials then why are they in the business? If the estimates are free then why is he owner hiding a charge in the job for the free estimate? Owner wants to charge for labor and a profit on the supplies and that's fair but wanting to charge for time to pick up routine supplies that they should have in stock to do the job they quoted is ridiculous and dishonest. We compromised at only a moderate gouging, but I'll never do business with East Mountain Roofing again. Lesson learned... trying to support local businesses is not always the best choice. Shop around...

  Completely irresponsible workers. Driving 40+mph in a residential neighborhood with lots of kids. Pushed me off the road cause they were out of control and couldn’t move over quick enough.

  Daniel straight up ghosted after giving me a quote and scheduling loosely for a roof addition I was putting on. I left multiple messages both with him and the office, multiple text messages and never heard back. On top of that he owes me a $500 finders fee. If you can get a hold of him, and a strong commitment, his work is good.

  I apologize for not being able to reach us. We are a small business and don't have a dedicated secretary to answer phone calls. I haven't received any voicemails from your number or with your name. If you call please leave a voicemail! I am constantly talking with other customers and working on roofs so I have to return messages after I finish. I responded to your email this morning. I hope you find someone that does the work you're looking for but our license doesn't allow us to install Metal Buildings. You need to find a general contractor for that. Please let us know if you need a reference.

  Dan and his team are phenomenal! We have worked with many roofers over the years, and EMR is the most knowlegeable, with the highest quality workmanship. Down to the little touches- they color match the vents on the home to the color of your new roof.

  Great experience with EMR. Highly professional and they made absolutely sure I was happy with their work before they left. They have even called to make sure I was still happy with my finished product. They used quality materials and my metal roof looks beautiful. Recommend EMR 100% !!
