Garrett Cowen, of Cowen Construction and Roofing, was the first contractor to answer his phone and schedule a visit for a free estimate for my bathroom remodel among five competing contractors. He arrived promptly the next day, listened carefully, and was highly considerate of my vision. I explained how I had been burned by contractors in the past, but he put me at ease by explaining his company’s background, work ethic, and insurance coverage. The contract clearly laid out the details, a fair payment schedule, and a clear scope of work. The main job was a full bathroom remodel, but we also agreed to several secondary jobs. Garrett willingly worked in venting our microwave exhaust outside through the brick, installing electrical over the garage for a security camera, building a custom cabinet in my master closet, installing a new touch kitchen faucet, and updating lighting in the hallway, closet, and utility room. I was incredibly grateful to finally have these things accomplished. It was a turnkey experience that made my wife very happy. As work progressed, Garrett and his team—especially his go-to guy Daniel—maintained frequent communication so no detail was missed. When normal construction questions or concerns arose, we talked them out and found solutions immediately. For example, a minor leak in the newly installed toilet was promptly fixed, the location of recessed niches in the shower area was easily adjusted, and the daily construction mess was well mitigated. They even brought in a clean-up crew at the end to ensure I was fully satisfied, which was a wonderful professional touch. Of special note was Garrett’s carpenter, Marvin. He is a woodworking savant. He built the best possible version of my custom-designed vanity cabinet, including a built-in toilet paper holder, a flip-out trash can, and a Kleenex box holder built right into the side to maximize our limited space. He also custom-built a behind-the-door recessed tall storage cabinet, a recessed medicin

Cowen Construction and Roofing installed my new roof and gutters. Garret helped me pick out colors, worked with my schedule, made sure it was done right, made sure the area was cleaned up completely, and personally put all my stuff back where they found it. It looks fabulous and I can’t believe the difference in the whole property. I was also amazed at how fast it all got done. 1 1/2 days start to finish! I highly recommend them for sll your roofing needs.

We recently used Cowen Construction and Roofing to remodel our outdated hall bathroom and had such a great experience from start to finish. Our bathroom turned out absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t be happier with how everything came together. Garrett, the owner, was on site daily checking in and making sure everything was running smoothly. That meant a lot to us, especially knowing he lives about an hour away. It really shows how much he cares about his work and his clients. Garrett and his team were extremely kind, professional, and easy to work with. Communication was always quick and responsive, and any minor issues that came up were handled immediately without any stress on our end. The quality of work and attention to detail really stood out, and the whole process felt smooth and well managed. It’s not always easy to find a contractor you can trust, but we felt completely comfortable the entire time. We would absolutely recommend Cowen Construction and Roofing to anyone looking for a reliable and high quality company.

I have recently engaged, Garrett Cowen for two medium/large construction jobs at my home. The first was a complete remodel of the front entrance, which included the installation of a large iron door. The most recent was a re-roof of my home. In both cases, Garrett’s team did outstanding work! My wife and I could not be more pleased with the result!!

I recently moved into a new home and needed a roof tune-up along with a privacy fence to keep my dogs safely in the backyard. I contacted Garrett, and he provided a detailed quote the same day he came out to assess the work. I couldn’t be happier with the results. The workmanship was high quality, the pricing was good, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. I highly recommend Cowen Construction and Roofing for anyone looking for reliable and professional service

Cowen Construction did a phenomenal job on my roof repair. Garrett came out bright and early to provide a quote for what I needed repaired, and the following week he had his crew there to get the job done. They took about 2 hours and hauled off all the trash. Great communation and easy to work with. I 100% recommend them! Pictures attached of damage, and repair.

Garrett and team did an amazing job. Fast, professional, on time, and well done. We found that their quote was very similar to larger businesses and it’s great to be able to hire a small business with a real person from the area, not some 1-800 number to call. The job was done as quoted and we couldn’t be happier. Plus, Garrett was great at communicating with us before during and after the job.
